This is the best oyster knife believe it or not. I don’t know how but this knife let me open oysters quicker than I ever did with other knives. Ofc with care. No rush. I had bought two of these. It is sturdy and seems to be fixed very well at the handle. Also very important: the blade is not too thin, just right. It happened to e before using other knives that the end of the blade broke and I couldn’t use it anymore. Never happened with this knife! One of the best finds on amazon!

Good value, simple, no gimmicks, does what it is supposed to : open oysters. Good grip as quite big handle and easy to clean. You don't really need a blade guard like on some others but you need a not too thin doled blunt blade . It doesn't need to be sharp but has to be sturdy. You do not need a glove either just a towel to protect your hand. Check online videos first we ll save you a lot of time and stabbing yourself. You insert the tip of the knife at the pointy end of the oyster where there is the natural gap rather horizontally than vertically (you will see why once you be opened the first one - you can't vertically as it is solid nacre). You push the knife in 1cm max and then gently give a little twist and by magic it just pop open. You get better after a few but feels hard at first it s normal

This is my first shucking knife. I've been using it every week for oysters and find using it very easy. This grip is good and the knife is long enough to detach even the bigger oysters. The blade is sturdy enough for the job and is not sharp, perfect for the job. I couldn't be happier with this product.

I prefer this to other, more expensive oyster knives because the plastic handle is very solid and has a good grip, and the blade is sturdy and not too sharp. This is ideal for getting your oysters opened cleanly first time. Could still hurt you though, so always wear a butcher’s glove on the other hand!

Not really worked well for the oysters

Having tried several oyster knives over the years, they have all been useless. I bought this one this year. The blade is long and narrow enough to get into the oyster with ease and for the first time ever I have had no difficulties opening them. The handle fits well in my hand and the blade feels, looks and is very strong - the shells inevitably broke before any decent pressure put on the blade. THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
