What a Great RE-DESIGN for the BOX!!! Thank you, EDGE!! Buy this NOW :)
I have purchased several of these EotE Beginner Game box sets. I run an after school game club and over the years, these get quite a lot of heavy use. Inside each kit, you get a FULL set of dice, several pre-made character folios, cool tokens to represent your character and NPCs to interact with, map of the town you are escaping from, map of the cantina you are hiding in, map of the YT-1300 freighter you will likely be escaping in, a set of BASIC game rules and the "Escape from Mos Shuuta" adventure booklet. The adventure is a lot of fun and is EASY for a beginning GM to run a group of beginning players through. What is important is that everyone is having a lot of fun with FFG/EDGE Studios narrative dice and they are all LEARNING about how their character operates in the Star Wars galaxy, how the basic rules work for combat and skill usage, etc. A very easy and fun adventure and when you run creative teenagers through it, you'll be surprised about all of the novel approaches they may take. And the narrative dice SUPPORT you along the way. Makes telling a COLLABORATIVE story so much fun. I can't speak highly enough about how great this system is to play. As I said to start, I have owned several of these EotE Beginner Game box sets. The downside of this purchase IN THE PAST is that the box was so flimsy, so unbelievably poor at storing game components that many times the container box would be ripped, torn and thrown in the garbage. The NEW EotE Beginner Game box set I just purchased (July 10, 2026) is DIFFERENT. This box has been RE-DESIGNED and is now extremely durable and can be used to safely store game components for years and years to come. THANK YOU, EDGE Studios for taking the time to re-design the construction of this box set. All in all, LOTS OF FUN, LOTS OF VALUE, a GREAT INTRO to the FFG/EDGE Studios Star Wars experience. Can't recommend this product enough! Get yours today!

Star Wars: Edge of the Empire is a good introduction for Star Wars fan interesting in RPGs.
Star Wars: Edge of the Empire is a good introduction for Star Wars fan interesting in RPGs. The basic rules are introduced, but there is room for more advanced game play concepts to add for action. It seems to stick to classic Star Wars canon, so players should feel very familiar with the game setting. As I mentioned earlier, starting game play is very easy. It was the same feel as the original Star Wars RPG that West End Ganes did many years ago. I would say overall, it is a good fit for Star Wars fans and beginning role playing gamers.

Beginner Box
My only complaints are 1 it should have said beginner box (my bad for not reading the description), and 2 the cardboard tokens can rip why punching them out. But if you want to get into these Fantasy Flight Games RPGs this is a way to do it.

Everything you need.
This is a great starter set. Has everything you need to play a great game. The rule book is scaled down from the actual core book, so it’s not overwhelming to a person who is new to TTRPG. For an experienced player, the extra dice and maps and tokens are nice.

These SWRPG lines needs to continue. There'sso much character.
Want to thank edge for keeping it going. Also, I'd like to add, the books should be purchasable in the kindle store. I noticed A LOT of RPG books aren't in the kindle. I'm sure there's a reason for that but people will scan and PDF them anyway. I mean, sure I can bootleg them, but I would like them officially in the kindle so at least it's in my library, forever. This is why RPG games dies, books go out of print and all that's left is the half-assed PDF scans of the books. Anyways I love it. Bought all 3 games just to have it. Don't judge me, judge people hurting people.

Good beginner module
I've played this with a group of friends and wanted to get it for myself to try DMing. Its a good beginner module with a light rulebook to get into the system. My only issue was the box came damaged even though it seemed better quality than the force of destiny one I have.

Great intro to a great system
Best intro box for a system I've seen, I have over a dozen boxed sets and while this lags behind Chaosium boxes in value, the introduction was well received by players and by the GM (me).

Not Worth More Than £15
I wouldn’t pay more than £15 for this starter set. It includes a very short adventure (about 2 hours of play), basic rules, four pre-made characters, a few maps, and a set of dice (which aren’t great quality). All of this only fills about a tenth of the thin cardboard box.
