I didn't view the instructional video, so maybe I am doing something wrong. With respect to being for beginners I guess you have to start somewhere, but I had experience with Title's string ball(s). I was able to start with the larger ball and work my way down to the smallest. I was able to use this one immediately and I noticed that due to the length of the string I had to hit it a bit harder and not necessarily faster. I believe because I was hitting it a bit harder and I broke the strings on the two that I purchased. However, both were replaced immediately. 11/01/2023 - Update. So far so good on the two replacement ones that I received. I find these extremely fun to use and using them does provide some form of exercise especially went trying to see how many times you can hit the ball in 5 or 10s. My high so far is 27, however, I try and maintain a traditional orthodox boxer's stance. I lead with my left and use a jab and then right cross. I utilize that full length of the elastic string so it is unlikely that I will every break 40 in 10s. If I do, I will record and upload with the app. Update - 01/08/2024 I wanted to provide a final review for the two of these that I bought. I have used bought and I have literally beat the heck out of both of them and I have not had a single issue with either. I have let others use them and they really enjoy it. As a matter of fact I am to order another one for a 9 year family member. Unfortunately the ones that I ordered are currently unavailable. However, it appears there are others available so I will purchase that brand and hopefully they are as good as these have been. These are a great alternative to the ones sold by Title Boxing, which run $50 or $60 plus shipping. I own a Title one as well and I perfer the Boxbollen over the much more expense one from Title Boxing. The velcro head band seems to be made for people of all head sizes, whereas the one from Title seems to be made for big heavyweight fighters like Wladimir Klitschko who has a massive head. I hope the Boxbollen are available again soon, despite having as issue with the first two I purchased the free replacements have held up much better than I expected. You do not need to be pro to use these, my wife and son were both able to pick up and start using it within 5 to 10 minutes.. My son has zero eye to hand coordination. It just takes time and patiences to use these.

Was purchased as a gift or my grandson but I have to say that I think the adults had more fun with it. The adults played. with it for hours. Our grandson and some of his friends have had a lot of fun with it. I have to say it was a good fun for all

This didn't come packaged like I expected. It arrives in about a 4" x 4" box which made me second guess the money I spent on it. It was a gift for my grandson and I haven't heard of he's played it. It looks like it would be fun.

I’ll start by saying that the packaging a materials are high quality. The headband has anti slip material inside but it’s not rubbery enough to hurt those with longer hair. The ball is nice and squishy so it doesn’t really hurt when you inevitably get hit with it. The string is long though, so you have to adjust it according to arm reach and there’s no directions for that in the box. I haven’t checked the QR code for that information but it would be better if there was a “quick start” type info pamphlet in the box. I gave it 3 stars because there’s nothing extraordinary about it. It’s a squishy ball on a headband that helps with coordination but I don’t forsee it being a top favorite to play with.

I bought the Boxbollen Boxing Reflex Ball because I thought it would be a helpful way to work out some agitation without stirring up too much emotionally. The box made it look like a cool boxing reflex trainer. What I actually received was more like ninja meets parkour meets Gumby training. I have no idea how anyone “boxes” this thing for more than one or two hits unless they have the reflexes of a hummingbird and the spatial awareness of Spider-Man. I mostly bat it around with my hands and arms while trying not to be personally attacked by a tethered ball. My current record is three hits in a row, and I am very proud of that. That said, it is weirdly perfect. After three minutes I’m sweating, laughing, moving my whole body, and significantly less committed to whatever agitation I was carrying before. It is impossible to take yourself too seriously while being defeated by a tiny ball on a string. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a short burst of movement, a little nervous-system reset, and the chance to look absolutely ridiculous in the privacy of their own home. Not sure I’m getting better at boxing, but I am getting better at surviving the chaos orb.

I fell for all the ads on my phone for this game. I bought it for a Christmas gift and when I ordered it, it was supposed to be delivered before Christmas. For some reason, the seller changed the delivery date after I purchased it and it arrived after Christmas. I tried to cancel the order but couldn't. Even worse, when we tried it, it was useless. Not at all like the advertising. The ball is small and attached by a very thin elastic - like those wooden paddle balls. There was no way to control the ball, it flies all over the place. This really needs a more substantial cord to work as shown. I should have just given a paddle ball for Christmas. It would have been used more. I returned item but be warned, you have to ship it back via USPS requiring a trip to the post office to mail. The company received my package per USPS tracking last week and it still says 'waiting for return'. I have not received my refund 5 days after they received the return. Maybe they had so many returns because the product stinks, that they can't get through them all. Still waiting for refund. Wish I had never bought this overpriced junk. Do not waste your money!!

I purchased this as a stocking stuffer for my 17-year-old. While the package hasn't been opened yet, waiting inside is the app integration, a headband with strap and the ball. Setup will be effortless as you simply strap the headband on and adjust the string length by wrapping it around the headband to match your reach. The App Integration is the core experience. It uses your phone's microphone or AI driven motion tracking to counts hits in real time. As of late 2025, the app has been updated to include Footboolen features and improved AI for noisy environments. The app includes global leaderboards and a "live Battles" mode where you can compete against others virtually. This is a versatile family activity, and I should have purchased more than one. It is for all ages. It feels like a game, but it provides a cardio workout that helps burn calories and improve concentration. There is a learning curve, and it might be trickier to master for some. It is essentially a ball on a string, but the value found is more in the software-linked competition than the hardware itself. The adjustable headband is made of neoprene with velcro, the ball is made of polyurethane and attached to an elastic with a string, and there is a QR code for the app. It functions as a fun game with fitness benefits, for all ages. As you master the skill you get faster at it and more reps will improve your chances of winning a competition. It seems pretty durable, but time will tell. It is a small, lightweight box, shipping was fast, and I cannot wait for him to open it and try it out.

This thing is so fun. Exactly as shown with everything in the box. A little of a faster pace and takes some fines. High quality. Very sturdy. No missing pieces. Great for pre teens and up.

I initially bought Boxbollen as a fun game for family gatherings, but it has quickly become a staple in my daily routine. It's incredibly addictive and much more challenging than it looks! It's a fantastic way to improve hand-eye coordination and reflexes while getting a decent cardio workout right in my living room. The app is a great addition, allowing me to track my progress and compete with friends, which keeps me motivated. The quality of the ball and headband is excellent, and it's held up well to some pretty intense sessions. Whether you're a boxing enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to stay active, I can't recommend Boxbollen enough - it's a blast for all ages!
