The Philips Air purifier has helped me tremendously!
I have asthma and I react very badly to air contamination, and prior to buying the Philips Air+ I was using my inhalers more and more. Now that I have my Philips I am getting great relief from the constant coughing. It clears the bad air rapidly and I am now, in the main, just using my inhaler am and pm as prescribed. My Philips is cleaning the air really well. It is very light to move around so I use it in the bedroom at night then move it to the living room for day use. I have my Philips set to Auto which monitors and automatically adjusts to the air conditions at the time. I leave mine on Auto for 24/7 because if the air does get worse it just sorts it out quietly. It is an extremely quiet machine, so fan noise is never an issue.Prior to the Philips I was not getting a decent night's sleep but since buying it, I am sleeping really well due to not waking up coughing from my asthmaThe Air+ app is useful, as it keeps you updated on the air around you. I have found that the app has a tendency to drop out and stops working. Apparently, Philips are aware of the issue, so a fix may be on the way.I can genuinely recommend the Philips Air Purifier, it has been a godsend for me!

Impressive.
Effective and easy to set up. Remember to remove the plastic bag from the filter before first use. I have really noticed a significant reduction in the amount of dusting I need to do since getting this.Recommended.

Good quality, easy to set up, does what it says on the tin
I purchased this air purifier for the bedroom, as this room does sometimes suffer from mould especially during winter months when I do not open the window. I know that these air purifiers are not really meant to be used as a tool for mould control but it does appear to be helping to keep it at bay.The build quality is very good, it was easy to install just downloaded the app and it connected without any problems, the app is informative and functional, keeping you up to date with air quality readings, however it does sometimes disconnect from the app for no apparent reason.I keep it on an automatic setting which means it will adjust fan speed etc automatically depending on the quality of air it senses, so I just let it do its thing.I have had no issues with noise levels, although obviously there is some fan noise when it goes into turbo mode but wouldnt say it is excessive and it never stays in that mode for long. It has never woken me up of prevented me from sleeping. One important point to note is that when you first use this unit, please take out the filter and remove the sealed plastic bag that the filter is in. I neglected to do this, so for a good month it was trying to draw air through the sealed filter and I am lucky it didnt burn itself out or malfunction, however until I realised I thought the unit was defective as obviously it wasnt cleaning the air.As far as functionality it does appear to be doing a good job of prurifying the air as most of the time the reading in the app is showing that the air quality is good. Although I do not have accurate room length and width measurments, the room that it sits in is aprox. 12ft by 10ft.The only reservation I have, hense 4 stars and not 5, is the acuracy of filter change information as I suspect rather than it actually sensing that the filter needs to be cleaned it just seems to be telling me to clean the filter every couple of months, even though on inspection the filter looks perfectly clean. Incidently the filter is very easy to access, just unscrew (by hand) the port at the bottom of the unit and pull the filter out.Over all I'm very pleased with this purchase and it represents good value for money.

No more sneezing! Pushes out cold air on higher setting
I wasn't sure what to expect out of this, I looked into air purifiers for years until finally deciding to get one. I've had it for just over a month now and I'm impressed so far.I haven't had a chance to use the app yet, as I've been having issues with my phone so I can't speak on how useful that is but i definitely noticed within an hour the air in my room just felt cleaner. It would be even more obvious after spending some time in the other spaces in my house and then returning to fresh, clean air in my bedroom.I sometimes turn it off for a few hours and the sneezing returns which i can only assume is a correlation. We have three cats that naturally shed a lot of fur and dander and I've long suspected that our cats are the culprit to my allergies. The reason i periodically turn it off is because even though it isn't a fan in the traditional sense, it does push out cold air, especially on the higher setting so with it being winter i have found myself needing to occassionally turn it off for a while so I can warm up.Though, I typically keep it running continuously. I'm loving the air quality in my bedroom and am noticing just how stuffy the rest of my house is by comparison. I havent had to dust as often which is an added bonus.Something to take note of, it is quite loud. I personally love white noise running in the background and it helps me get off to sleep, but I have missed a few alarms because I couldnt hear them go off over the fan! There are silent modes you can utilise as well.I imagine this would be beneficial for those who have asthma or are on breathing machines at night.

Excellent with annoying app
The air purifier itself is great and does exactly what it’s supposed to, however, the app was a nightmare to get working continuously, although looks sorted for now at least and is nice and helpful to see air quality in local area as well as the room and the percentage guidance for filter cleaning and life obviously very handy. Easy to set up just remove bottom and then cover from filter replace filter and bottom of device, just use app to leave speed on auto and adjusts quickly to changes in air quality, longevity of filter will depend on your own atmospheric conditions but also deals with smells very quickly as noticed when cooking.

Decent and effective purifier, but let down by frustrating app connectivity.
As a single device air purifier, the hardware is quite good; it is small in size, quiet enough on low settings, and effective enough with dust and air purification to use in a bedroom. But the smart experience with the product leaves much to be desired. The Philips Air+ app that comes with the product has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with software. The device consistently failed to connect to the network, wouldn’t sync with my Wi-Fi, and needed a complete factory reset every other day in order to appear on the network. Almost always, the app would state that the device is offline when it was sitting right next it. If you are looking for an air purifier for smart scheduling and other features, then expect to spend most of your time resetting and repairing the device.I eventually gave up on the product, switched to a Blueair 3250i, and haven’t looked back since. The product can be considered alright in case you don’t care about using the app and real time air quality in your room and just want simple control via buttons.

Works well but WiFi setup is a pain
Works great on the auto mode but can be switched to other modes manually with a tap of the top.Linking it to the app was a pain at first and simply wouldn't work on the first day so I gave up and tried a few days later. It then decided to work for some reason and connect despite not doing anything different.Even if you can't get it to connect, it still works as intended without the app connection, you just won't be able to control it remotely or set a schedule if you want one. I just leave it on the auto mode anyway and it does the job, nice and quiet unless it needs to ramp up for a minute or two when it detects a lot of dust or particles in the air.

Disappointed
I am normally very satisfied with Philips products, but I was gravely disappointed with this one.Functionally, it was great and did its job filtering the air, as there was a noticeable reduction in dust settlement in the room. However, my unit must have been faulty (a similar issue was described in others' reviews); the motor has a bearing issue which resulted in an audible, oscillating noise that was often louder than the sound of the fan, especially in Sleep mode. The app felt more like a gimmick. It had connection problems, often requiring a wait for the fan to "connect" when opening the app. The particle sensor itself seemed to be accurate; however, the historical data logged was only the hourly average. This led to spikes in pollutants not showing up. For example, if the air quality degraded for about 10 minutes (120 PM2.5) but was quickly filtered and remained low for the rest of the hour, the graph would only show the hourly average (20 PM2.5).Sad to say, I have returned the product.
