First off, these struts are not the same as the ones that came off. I understand that maybe they might be a little different but have the same pressure rating but either way I had to take the ends off the old ones and put them on the new ones because the new ones had angled ends that were on a 45° angle and would not work on this hatchback. I put the new ones on to see if they would actually lift the door and it seemed to struggle, but it was my wife’s vehicle and she uses it every day and said just leave it, them hopefully they will continue to work.

Works perfectly for my 2010 Buick Enclave cxl. I watched a YouTube video on how to install...took less than 5 min to remove the old and install these. Now my trunk door stays up. Waaay cheaper than Autozone and I feel great about this purchase.

I just installed and all seems to fit just like the oem. My old struts would not hold the tailgate open in cold weather. These were easy to install, but be sure to have something to secure the tailgate before the first one. I used a strap around my garage door opener. You only need a small flat blade screw driver to lift the metal clip high enough to pull the strut free. No need to completely remove the clip. The hardest part to install the new strut was removing the nylon strap. The only way I could figure out how to remove the strap around the strut was to use a utility knife to cut the strap. Then you just pop the strut in place being sure you install in the same direction that you removed the old one. For me the stationary side attached to the vehicle and the extension side attached to the lift gate.

I bought these for my Kis Sorento in late December last year. So 5 months ago I purchased this product and I am already having a problem with them. I got hit in the hand with my boot tailgate. The gas struts are already failing and my car is an SUV and is a wagon so the tailgate is heavy so it hurt alot. I want to ask Amazon for warranty. Not good enough. 5 months and already failing.

Either the wrong product was shipped or it simply didn't fit a 2009 Lexus Rx350. I would have returned it but it was over 30 days before I got my mechanic to install it. Quality seemed fine bit the struts I received were way too small for a Rx350 tailgate.i have purchased some more from Ebay and they worked fine.
