I have bought a lot of vevor products and the quality has always been very good, while saving me money. This one is no exception. I got it because the o e on my boat trailer was getting pretty crusty from the salt environment. Now, this one is steel and has painted surfaces, so over time it may rust. However, I wash everything off after each use. The last one I had was also steel and it lasted 10 years, so this one should do just as good. Of course you could spend more, but for the quality of this and expected life expectancy, this one gets the job done.

Horrible winch. On the first trip to the lake which isn't even 10 miles down the road the teeth broke off. Only had enough pressure to hold the boat to the trailer. 3500 lbs is a joke. Recieved June 3rd. Installed June 25th. Used 1 trip. Outside of return date. Garbage

Difficult to access bolts with bar and gear just above two front bolt holes. Fit same hole pattern fine. Old model I replaced had space in front of bar and gear to easily access two front bolts with socket. This one I had to fish an open end into a tight spot, with trailer brace hindering access, to tighten them because the bar and gear are just over the front two bolts. Three bolts and washers included but no lock washers included. Seems like a solid winch so far. Only paid $20.60 new so I'm not complaining.

This easily replaces a "required" accessory on a boat trailer. I've been through it enough to realize a "temp fix" may get you out of a jam, but is still an issue that needs to be addressed. This assembly is a longer term solution that restores full functionality on installation. Well-built, best value for load range I've found. The strap is stout, connections solid.

Love this winch. Took off the strap and used synthetic rope for a hoist to load a propane tank into my truck and to help me unload the tank. I know it’s overkill but thinking of safety first. Works well,easy to install and good quality for the money

Not recommended because of the handle design. To get the 2 speeds, you have to remove the handle and reinstall it on another shaft attached to a different gear. The engagement design involve depressing a housing that is engaged to a groove on the shaft. While engaged the handle will wobble significantly and I was concerned about the handle working its way off the groove during towing. It is a cheap design with loose tolerances. My solution is to drill a 1/32 hole in the shaft and install a cotter pin in the event the handle loosen from the engagement groove. To prevent the handle from wobbling during towing, I install a bungle cord. A minor issue is the gears arrived ungreased so i was forced to grease the gears myself. Too much trouble to return it since my cotter pin, bungle cord and grease fixed the problem. Another solution is to remove the handle during towing. However I could only give it 2 stars. In hindsight I should have purchased a single speed winch with the handle installed using a locking nut.

Winch works great and seems well built. The bolts are easy to strip so I would recommend replacing them with stainless bolts

Don’t buy this product. Handle for winch is spring loaded and fell off on our first trip with the trailer. As is was past amazons return date they refused to resend me a new product. Contacted the manufacturer and they refused to send me a replacement handle saying I was to contact Amazon. So I got the run around from both companies. One would think Amazon would be more helpful.

The handle wobbled because the hole is too big in the handle , had to add some washers , wouldn't latch so it ratchets both ways , had to drill another hole for the spring and modify it's position so it would trip both ways.
