These are credit card envelopes to prevent your credit cards from being scanned in your wallet. The world is overrun with crooks, and this is a defensive measure to protect your credit cards. You can wrap your cards in aluminum foil if you want, but these credit card sleeves are easier to use and well priced.

These RFID blockers aren't that reliable. I verified them using different RFID readers and the blockers didn't manage to be able to block all read attempts even if placing the blocker close to the card to be protected (as per the instructions).
