Superb so far. Use with my Canon R5 II and the integrated USB-C connection is perfect for a fast, reliable plug & play soluton with my MacBook Pro; handling files super quick in transfer. It can get a little hot when transferring a large number of files, but this is to be expected and nothing out of the ordinary. It's sleek in design, feels robust and durable and the USB-A adapator makes offers compatibility for those looking to use it on Windows devices. Would definitely recommend for those using Type B CFExpress cards in their photography setup.

Works great, haven't had any issues and i like that the design has the cable built in. Because it's made of metal it acts as a heat sink as the cards get pretty toasty when you're offloading a lot of data. I think this might be an essential design choice for a CF express card reader. I'm very happy with it.

Now been using this for several months. Despite being a, to me, unknown brand, this is working well and feels solidly made with positive engagement with the memory card. Download speeds are very fast, it and the CF card have reduced my backup times by 75%.

This card reader is perfect for my needs. Having both USB-C and standard USB connections makes it really practical, as I can use it with different devices without any adapters. It works quickly and reliably, and it’s small enough to keep in a bag all the time. I mainly use it for transferring photos and it has been spot on so far. A very handy little tool to have, especially if you work across laptops and tablets. Highly recommended.

Ich habe den BENFEI CFexpress Typ-B Kartenleser bestellt, da ich regelmäßig große RAW-Datenmengen von meiner Kamera sichern muss und nach einer zuverlässigen, schnellen und unkomplizierten Lösung gesucht habe. Nach rund vier Wochen im Einsatz bin ich wirklich zufrieden und möchte meine Eindrücke teilen. Der Kartenleser wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet, liegt gut in der Hand und macht auch optisch einen soliden Eindruck. Besonders praktisch finde ich die 2-in-1-Lösung mit USB-C und USB-A, da ich so flexibel an meinem MacBook, dem stationären PC und gelegentlich sogar am Android-Tablet arbeiten kann — ohne ständig Adapter mitschleppen zu müssen. Die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist absolut überzeugend. Ich habe mit einer CFexpress Typ-B-Karte von 128 GB mehrere große Video- und Bilddateien übertragen und erreiche dabei konstant Geschwindigkeiten von 800–900 MB/s (gemessen mit Blackmagic Disk Speed Test und CrystalDiskMark). Damit ist der Reader spürbar schneller als mein vorheriges Gerät, das deutlich teurer war. Die Plug & Play-Funktionalität funktioniert unter macOS, Windows und sogar am Android-Smartphone problemlos. Karte rein, wird sofort erkannt, keine Treiber notwendig, kein lästiges Setup. Genau so sollte es sein. Auch nach längeren Datentransfers bleibt das Gehäuse angenehm kühl — ein Punkt, der mir wichtig ist, da manche andere Kartenleser gerne mal sehr warm werden. Ich vergebe hier 5 Sterne, weil der BENFEI-Kartenleser in Sachen Geschwindigkeit, Kompatibilität und Verarbeitung absolut überzeugt und sich im Alltag als verlässlich und unkompliziert erwiesen hat. Für den aufgerufenen Preis bekommt man hier ein sehr solides Produkt, das sich vor deutlich teureren Markenlösungen nicht verstecken muss. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die regelmäßig große Datenmengen von CFexpress Typ-B-Karten übertragen müssen und Wert auf ein zuverlässiges, schnelles und flexibles Arbeitsgerät legen. Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Although this will read and write A type cards, the card bay is too small to accommodate full size UDMA7- CF cards. I will keep it regardless as I have other applications for it as a reliable product. The quad reader of the same name, (BENFEI) will read, simultaneously Micro SD; MS; intermediate & full size CF-A cards as a four in one USB-C ~ 3.0 device. (UHS-1 speeds of up to 104MBS). In my opinion this footprint is compact enough to fit in a camera bag and covers most cards for the average end user. BENFEI products I have purchased have all performed flawlessly over the long term, years of service in fact and therefore qualifies BENFEI as reputable brand in my experience. My technologies include iOS and PC / android devices. Ho acquistato il lettore BENFEI CFexpress Type A con USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) e doppio connettore USB-C/USB-A principalmente per lavorare con la mia Sony FX30, e la differenza rispetto al passato è davvero notevole. Fino a poco tempo fa scaricavo i file usando il lettore SD integrato del mio Mac mini M1 o un piccolo lettore USB-C per le mie vecchie SD V90 e V60. Con le normali SD i tempi erano accettabili, ma appena ho iniziato a usare schede CFexpress Type A (sia Pergear che Sony) il trasferimento diretto dalla camera o con il lettore SD diventava lentissimo: per svuotare una scheda da 256 GB piena di 4K 120p S-I servivano tranquillamente 18-20 minuti. Con il BENFEI tutto è cambiato. Un test concreto: 254 GB di footage 4K 120p All-I trasferiti sul Mac mini M1 in 1 minuto e 57 secondi (circa 2,1 GB/s reali sostenuti). La stessa quantità di dati, se fosse stata su una SD V90, avrebbe richiesto oltre 11 minuti. In pratica sto risparmiando 9-10 minuti ogni volta che scarico una scheda piena e, considerando che in una giornata intensa ne uso 3 o 4, recupero facilmente 30-40 minuti di tempo utile. Il lettore è compatto, realizzato in alluminio color argento naturale (aspetto pulito e professionale), non si scalda quasi mai anche dopo trasferimenti lunghi e funziona perfettamente plug-and-play su Mac mini M1, iMac, PC Windows 11 e persino sul tablet Android con USB-C 3.2. Nessun driver da installare, si collega e parte. Molto comodo il cavo integrato con adattatore USB-A rimovibile: se capita di dover usare una porta vecchia basta agganciare il connettore A e il gioco è fatto. In poche parole: se usate CFexpress Type A su FX30, FX3, A1 o simili e volete trasferire i file alla velocità che le schede effettivamente permettono, questo BENFEI è la soluzione più pratica e conveniente che abbia trovato. Costa poco, fa esattamente quello che promette e mi ha fatto dire addio alle attese infinite. Lo consiglio senza alcuna esitazione a chiunque voglia risparmiare un sacco di tempo ogni giorno.
