Exceeded my expectations. Removed filter sponge and put in ceramic balls as a biological media. Put filter floss on top of the biological media. Review: I love this filter, I chose this one over a regular side of the tank filter because I love the shower feature. My girl loves playing under it! Clean up is easy, takes less than 10 mins to wipe off the outside and I rinse the sponge with soap and hot water. Had this since April and haven’t had any issues, I also love that you can connect a tube to easily get the water out. Will upgrade to the three tier filter like this one soon, as I am now adding more water to the tank. I also like the water sound around the house, sometimes if I need a quiet moment I’ll close the top of the filter but otherwise doesn’t bother me.
