Perfect battery for the OM System flagships!
This Wasabi Power LP-E6NH kit is a total vibe for anyone tired of carrying a brick-sized wall charger. If you're looking for an in-depth breakdown of why this is a "must-grab," letโs get into the details of the "Ginger Series" setup. The "Why" Behind the Wasabi Love First off, Wasabi has been the reliable cousin of the battery world for years. While some third-party batteries make your camera act like it's seen a ghost (weโre talking "Incompatible Battery" warnings), these are fully decoded. Thatโs tech-speak for: your camera actually recognizes it, shows you the exact percentage, and lets you hit those high-speed shutter bursts without the camera throttling your performance. The Game Changer: USB-C Integration The real star of the show here is the Direct USB-C charging on the battery itself. The Scenario: Youโre in the middle of a shoot, your bag is overflowing, and you realize you forgot the external charger. The Fix: You don't need it. You can literally plug a USB-C cable (like the one for your phone or iPad) directly into the side of the battery. Pro Tip: This means you can juice up your spares inside your bag using a portable power bank while youโre still shooting with your primary. Itโs peak efficiency. The Nitty-Gritty Specs Capacity: Weโre looking at 2400mAh. For context, thatโs a beefy upgrade over standard LP-E6 models. It gives you that extra "buffer" for long video sets or those 2,000-shot days. Build Quality: These use Premium Grade-A cells. You aren't getting that weird "swelling" or heat issues common with the super-cheap knockoffs. The Kit: Since you grabbed this on Amazon, it usually comes with the dual USB charger too. Even though the batteries charge via USB-C directly, having the dual dock is great for overnight resets when you need to top off two at once using any USB wall adapter. Final Verdict If you want to spend less time tethered to a wall and more time striking a pose (or capturing one), this is it. Itโs high-quality, high-capacity, and it actually plays nice with your gear. Wasabi delivered the goods againโreliable, smart, and way more affordable than the name-brand alternatives without sacrificing the tech.

Value & Convenience
Good price with convenient built in USB C charging. Works well with the OM 1 Mkii camera and even battery level displays. Capacity seems respectable after a couple of days of shooting. Recommended.

Cost effective but not equal to OEM.
Cost effective for a backup. Does not last as long as OEM (maybe 80%) and battery shot count does not always reset.

good battery
So far so good ... quite a few months of use in my OM-1 and it's holding charge well, last as long when not being used, shoots the same (maybe slightly more??) number of frames as OEM battery, and fits smoothly in/out of body (no swelling). The camera seems to adequately report it's charge percent as it is used. I have used it in the cold (<20F) ... it struggles with that about like the OEM. I can't speak to how it handles heat - have not been anywhere >100F shooting with it, have not left it in a sealed car in sun in heat. I'm not a fan of reviews right off the bat, especially for something like a battery which could go bad in a few months. (I've had quite a few non-oem batteries do that!) My positive review here is not how it looks or feels ... it's based on numerous cycles in use :) I see no difference in performance vs the OEM battery so far. The USB-C charging directly on the battery is great - that >>IS<< an advantage I see this having over an OEM battery!! If OM systems was going to cheap out on giving us a charger, at least these guys found a better way! Right now I don't need additional batteries, but if I do, given performance so far + direct USB-C charging, I'll buy this over an OEM OM-Systems battery. AND it's far cheaper. To me this is a win-win-win with this battery.

om systems om1 battery
This battery works perfect...as good as original om systems. You can plug battery in directly to c port usb, or, it will also charge within the om1 plugging into the c port on the phone. I don't need an external charger which is really a benefit.

Approximately 90% of OEM BLX-1
First up, simple in-camera capacity testing resulted in about 90% the capacity of genuine BLX-1 batteries. This battery averaged 228 shots per charge while the genuine BLX-1 averaged 250. Testing methodology here was with an OM-1 and 100-400mm lens set to take 1 picture per minute. Perfectly acceptable capacity. What attracted me to this offering was the standalone USB-C charging. In part due to the convenience, but primarily due to the associated charging circuitry. The typical flaw with third party camera batteries is that they have no circuitry to balance the two battery cells inside - it's usually just a 'dumb' charging circuit because of the proprietary nature of camera batteries. By comparison USB-C charging circuits are a commodity item, and while I'm not going to open it up to confirm such is the case I'd be quite surprised if it wasn't using a properly designed USB-C charging circuit that balances the two cells while charging.

Good bang for dollar.
Works as described. A few less shots than the OEM pack but not bad. Easy to charge with usb c. Have used Wasabi for other cameras. Always a good value for money.

Good performance / price
This performs at least as good as the originals. I havenโt done extensive comparison so cannot validate that it last longer. -1 star because the level reporting in camera is not accurate. I left the camera at 80% charge one day and the next morning the camera showed 90%. It took a few shots in use for the camera to report 80% again.
