How many pounds of lime motar is in a 3 1/5 gal pail? Who is the manufacture?

Each 3.5 gallon pail contains 40 lbs of mortar. All of our products are manufactured in house at US Heritage Group.

How long will mortar hold in damp basement, if using small amount at a time?

The mortar comes in a large plastic pail with a rubber gasket on the lid, so it can be stored in most indoor locations so long as the lid is fully fastened to the pail. Try to avoid exposing unused mortar to damp and humid conditions if possible to prolong the shelf life.

Is this dry lime and aggregate to which water must be added?

This product is a blend of Natural Hydraulic Lime and aggregate. It requires 0.75-1 gallon of water be mixed in prior to use. Nothing else is needed for the mix, but masonry pigments may be added to adjust the color of the mortar.

How many Sq Ft. of coverage is in a 3.5 gallon container?

The coverage will vary depending on how wide the joints between the bricks are. If the joints are a typical width of 3/8" then the coverage is 20 square feet per 3.5 gallon pail.
