Rembrandt Professional Soft Pastel Set General Colour Selection | 15 Half Pastels

This set was a great price, better than I could find anywhere else. I really like these pastels as they are reasonably soft and highly pigmented, but not so soft that they crumble. You can use the ends to make fine strokes, as well as using them sideways for blocks of colour - something you can't do with the very expensive top brands like Unison and Sennelier which are lovely but very crumbly. I have also bought some Rembrandt pastels singly from Amazon to supplement this set. They have some lovely colours and I like the way their colour range is organised.

Excellent price for professional quality soft pastels. Rembrandt pastels are highly rated by professional artists and generally much higher price. This is a perfect starter pack for anyone serious about art. The intensity of the colours and the coverage is exceptional. I'll be buying another set or two at this price of £15.

This is the second time buying these pastels as this set as good value for money. These pastels are good quality high colour content and as a little hardthan some brands better for early layers and even details.

These pastels are wonderful, they are just right - not too soft and crumbly nor are they very hard. They give good coverage and I am using them with pastel pencils. They are good strong colours and when fixed keep their colour.

The image on the box gives the impression they are powder soft like chalk. These feel more oil-based to the touch. Good for backgrounds but not much else.

Strong pigment which can easily be blended or used to creates strong lines. Love using with charcoal and ink to create bold images.

Lovely to use, bright true colours. Next time would buy bigger box to get more variety but like the short pieces
