Do people who use this realy put ice in their wine and or beer, as the picture suggests? If so I dont want anything to do with it?

I think it’s more for mixed drinks, than wine or beer. I use mine for whiskey.

Dose the ice come out crystal clear?

I have had excellent results, and perfectly clear ice with these molds. I use tap water to fill, and leav in the freezer for 12-14 hours. You’re going to be impressed!
