What kind of uva and uvb are produced from 7" away?

There is different watt for the heat and I think the uva is standard for all. Depends on height. Don't but though they burn out or pop fast. This one did and burned up my lamp set.

use a thermometer in basking area to know where to set the distance of the bulb. Any of the solar glos are good just know the distance to have the right temperature in the basking area.

Is this bulb bad for their eyes?

They are bright, most animals including us will not stare into bright light for to long. The bulb is very healthy for every part of an animals body and as far as reflective light to the eye ,these bulbs are completely safe . The bulbs have been tested to be okay. You can google exo terra and look up info. Do not put to close and always aim the bulb in a downward position on animal never pointing up into face. when using follow directions and mimic the sun, always shining down. Last , if there is a reason your asking is this bulb to bright. because if theres a possible issue with specimen . You must use your own discretion. Great bulbs

Did what it says on the tin heat... Light, but a very sensitive bulb... Had some of these bulbs pop on me after only 6 weeks use at 2x4 hr intervals daily... Shipping and packaging time from seller though was spot on
