Cream Glide Lip Liner - Truth or Bare

I have used the same brand of lipliner for years, but it was discontinued, and its ‘new and improved’ replacement was horrible, leaving me with an unwanted hunt for a different brand. I struck gold with e.l.f. The range of colours is fabulous and they’re all usable. I chose to try 4 different ones to try and get something close to my original shade, and I love them all. They arrive in individual plastic sleeves, which are easy to open, as oppose to the shrink-wrap plastic that is so difficult to remove. They are easy to apply and give great coverage. I like to use the pencil not only to outline my lips but to use all over as a base layer, and that does work well. It has great longevity and any wear is even, so you don’t get that awful ring of colour with nothing inside look. The only issue I have with these is that the pencil does wear down quite quickly, which is the price you pay for a soft application (and all over colour). I’m used to an automatic lip liner that you just twist up, but these have to be sharpened by hand, and there’s something quite depressing about seeing your paid for product being wasted on the shavings. That said, this is an affordable range, so there’s not as much hit to your pocket as there could be. Happy to recommend.

I love the cream glide lip liners and use them almost every day and it’s been almost 1 year and still I have product left. It does smudge a little if you try to use your finger but it honestly stays on fine. The pigment is so good and coverage is great. The length of the pencil could be a bit longer but honestly it’s lasted like so long for me. The quality’s great. Only thing is it doesn’t last for as much time as I would have liked on your lips even if you don’t eat.

My new go-to. I love these liners. I like my lips to look natural with a hint of extra berry color, and the mauves are perfect. As others say, the liner glides on smoothly with no tug on my already sensitive lips. Ideal for everyone and soooo worth the price. My former go-to was $23 per liner! Now, I'm spending way less, and these last just as long, if not longer. Buttery smooth and the perfect hint of color.

Love this gorgeous cool toned brown! It really does have a nice creamy texture that glides on, it also blends out really nicely. Big big fan!

Fantastic lipliner for the price you can’t really complain I use it all the time, yes you do have to top it up throughout the day especially when you eat and drink but it glides onto your lips smoothly and is blendable.

It’s pigmented but doesn’t last as much as it should. It smells nice.

Really lovely formula, easy to apply, nice and creamy without being imprecise. Looks great with a black lip liner and glitter gloss.

Very creamy and affordable for everyday use. The lip liner glides on very well and looks very natural on my lips. Its price is much more affordable than other drugstore products and the payoff for the product also matches. The mauve colour is very similar to other high end lipliners I have that are pricey and preformed the same.

Tbh, this is the only elf lip liner I own, because hello expensive as hell, but it’s so good almost makes me wanna get another in a brown or plum shade maybe. I’d rate it a 4/5 The colour is stunning and matches my golden skin tone so well

This e.l.f. lip liner honestly exceeded my expectations, especially for the price.
