This book has been wonderful for my 8-year-old. The instructions are easy to follow, the songs are fun, and it keeps her excited to practice. A great choice for beginners!

Very good for beginners. Gives a clear progression for the student to follow and teases at a larger world if they stick to it. Well plotted out and paced.

I have taught piano for over ten years and have my B.M. in piano pedagogy. I use this book for my students under five years of age. I have had no problems. They love the pictures and activities the book provides. I supplement lots of extra rhythm activities and staff reading exercises, but I do this for every teaching method. Granted, this is for toddler to age five possibly six depending on student maturity and learning rates. I do not recommend this for ages seven and up. The lesson books that follow are also great. Happy teaching!

I use My First Piano Adventure Lesson Book B for students who have completed Book A, and I find it much easier to teach. The lessons are engaging, and the included audio recordings make practice fun and enjoyable. My students love it, and it helps reinforce their skills effectively. It's a great addition to any young pianist's learning journey! I highly recommend it for teachers and parents alike.

My First Piano Adventures is my go-to book for my piano students in first grade and under. I like how the entire B level is focused only on steps on the staff. Other curriculums I've tried in the past introduce skips on the staff too quickly and frustrates kids. Level B helps young students advance their note-reading skills without moving them along too quickly. I also like that it doesn't teach students to depend on certain hand positions (C-Position, G Position, etc.) like in other curriculums. I previously used another curriculum for my young students, but I'm now exclusively using My First Piano Adventures.

Extremely cute and well made. However we had to return it because the headpiece is extremely small definitely an infant size. The 2T body pièce is well fitting.
