LOVE this grinder!!!!! I know it’s not supposed to be used for other forms of coffee, as it’s more body than punchy clarity, but I love it for everything. Pour overs, aeropress, Turkish, espresso, etc. it can do anything. It gives me a luxurious mouth feel and pulls some excellent shots. The adjustable wheel of granularity is ridiculously large from flour to pebbles. It’s very durable, comes with myriad cleaning and QOL items, and the case is well built and highly functional. It’s the perfect grinder for me. I only wish the catch cup had some form of mechanical latching in addition to the magnets as in 1/200 grinds, I get too overzealous and knock the cup off—spilling everywhere. (Disregard the nespresso machine in my second photo, I was traveling for study abroad in Vienna and didn’t have my espresso machine 😆).

I got my first espresso machine not too long ago and I thought I could get away with just buying coffee from coffee shops and having them pre-grind the beans for me. It worked for like, the first day. After that all my espresso shots were terrible. Turns out, the grounds were to fine. I got incredibly frustrated and went to talk to a barista at my local coffee shop and he told me I needed to get a coffee grinder. I was skeptical at first cause I didn't believe it made a difference. Especially not when the grinders I was finding were $100-$200 after I just spent over $400 to get my espresso machine. But I got this one anyways cause it had amazing reviews and its a highly recommended brand. Let me just say... it does make a difference. Ever since I started grinding my own beans with this grinder, my espresso shots have been BEAUTIFUL and delicious. The grinder is easy to use and does its job well. I love how precise you can be with the level of the grinds. The quality is amazing, I truly believe this grinder could last me years. Yes, its pricey, but I think it is 10000% worth its price tag. If you're on the fence, BUY IT, your coffee is gonna taste so much better for it. This is a great investment into your journey of making coffee at home!

’ve been really impressed with the consistency of the grind and the wide range of settings this grinder offers. It works well across different brewing methods, and the grind quality has been very consistent once I find the right setting. My main complaint is that dialing it in can be confusing at first. Superb handheld coffee grinder. Exceptionally well designed and built. Highest quality. Good size for my average-sized hands. It has a physical presence but is not too heavy. When set to the finest settings, it will grind in a reasonable amount of time. Little remains after a grind. The magnetic cup is thoughtfully designed and works very well. The grind has produced some of, if not the best, coffee I've ever had in my life. Not an exaggeration. The carrying case is also very nicely done. I am sincerely impressed with the quality of this product. Amazon shipped promptly, and I received it within 1 day of ordering. The package arrived shrink-wrapped, which I appreciated. Worth every penny. Life is too short for bad coffee. This grinder will help you get closer to the perfect cup. 5+ stars.

Pictures don't do justice to this amazing piece of industrial art. It's beautiful to look at and to hold, and feels very solid. The magnetic catch cup contributes to the feeling of luxury. The folding handle is great: folded, it allows for safer storage (stands up nicely on the counter), and unfolded, it's long enough that grinding coffee doesn't feel strenuous. The wooden knob at the end of the handle fits nicely in the hand. The coffee is ground to a uniform consistency, and the grinding adjustments allow for very fine control. In conjunction with a Bambino Plus espresso maker, I've made espressos that rival the best you can get in a coffee shop.

I have the K ultra but I was trying to grind for turkish coffee. Absolutely impossible on the K ultra. I couldnt even turn the crank. So i decided to pull the trigger on the J ultra as a turkish coffee grinder and it worked wonders. I figured since its designed to grind fine, itd be a little easier to grind. And not only could i turn the crank, i could turn the crank with relative ease and grind the coffee fairly quickly. Now it is still a workout, but my guess is this is probably the best fine hand grinder you can get. Turkish coffee is even finer than espresso. I did use the grip and it was easy to use.

This could be the best espresso grinder out there for travel. Using it with Wacaco Picopresso and loving the resulting cups. Built like a tank. Interesting premium material choices. Magnetic catch cup works like a charm. Ergonomics and work flow is top notch. Best part is the grind adjustment system. It’s a well thought out design and works efficiently. Adjustment clicks are pure ASMR. Minor adjustments are possible for perfect dial in. Grind chamber can be dissembled and cleaned without any fuss. Cons: Heavy, because it is built like a tank. Though the handle, grip and engineering of this grinder is near perfect, hand grinding do need some effort and strength.
