Driven: How to Succeed in Business and in Life

Glad I chose to read this book, as a shark tank fan and Canadian Dragons Den fan, I have always wondered what made Robert tick and I am glad he shared his thoughts, principles and work ethics in this book, as well as deeply personal experiences. Some great practical advice. (poor Kevin, get's quite a bit of bashing :))

This is just an amazing book and I would recommend it to all entrepreneurs. As a new business owner it seemed he was talking to me directly and his advice was just immense and so true. Well worth the money and I read it over and over again.

good book to read , a very honest book by Robert .

With tons of lists and a clear focus, Robert Herjavek inspires us with advice, metaphors, and stories in his book Driven: How to Succeed in Business and Life. The book can tend to get repetitive now and again, but I would chalk this up to Herjavek's desire to get his points across. Given his background, it makes complete sense that he would write this book and do all he could to reach those reading it with clear messages. He has seen so many successes and failures, good choices and terrible ones, and knows of a lot of people or businesses where the results lined up with the rules and a few anomalies to them. More importantly he has done it all himself. He is clearly knowledgeable about the pursuit of entrepreneurship, a great reason on its own to read his book. But better still, he has lived it, been on both sides of it even- having also starred on Shark Tank and Dragon's Den where he decides what the profits of his entrepreneurial success will be invested in as venture capital. He is very careful in the book to make counter points to what he believes, showing that his word is in no way law. I noticed that he made sure to remain respectful of people even when disagreeing with them. Although this is something I'm sure many intend to do, I rarely find myself reading about how much the writer respects that somebody did this even though they never would. He is very aware that his way isn't the only way of doing something and his life isn't the only way to live. Herjavek wasn't just full of tips for successful business though. He gave us some life advice and insight he had picked up along the way. Robert Herjavek acted as a guide to what it takes to make it and the proof of the validity of his advice can be found not only in his examples, but also in himself. There are many important factors that contribute to the success of one's company. The most important is a passion for the business.

Dieses Buch bietet alles für den zukünftigen Unternehmer (Tipps, Fakten und auch Inspiration), aber kann durchaus für alle Anderen interessant sein, um einen anderen Blickwinkel für das Geschäftsleben zu bekommen. Mich hat das Buch sehr inspiriert, und ich werde es auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen.

A most excellent book! This is my second time purchasing this book, as I did so shortly after it initially came out. Love the advice in it, and I am ready with my highlighter in hand again!
