This tool works great. Sometimes it senses a leak when there is not but all of them do that battery last forever. I would buy again. Sadly I lost mine . Ima a hvac tech

I used it to find a leak on a walk in cooler and it worked great. I would buy it again but hopefully this one will last for a long time.

It works! For the price, I actually expected it to not work or at least not very well, but I used it to locate a leak in my ac coil and it only took a few minutes to detect the leak. With this detector, I was able to get the ac manufacturer to replace the unit.

Definitely works and gets the job done. If you need something cheap and useful or maybe you’re just starting out. This is the way to go. Only reason it wasn’t given a 5 star is because the sensor is too sensitive and be easily damaged. Other than that, it works great and will absolutely help you find a leak!

My Field Piece detector was used to search for a small leak and could not find it. To my amazement, this unit found it right away. Searched exact area in wind outdoors. Highly recommend

I am fairly certain I have a leak in my R410A mini split. I know this is very affordable for an IR unit, but it is much more expensive than a good heated diode device. But I wanted something that gave few false alarms. It arrived yesterday and the case and unit looks nice, but the documentation is terrible. The manual is very minimal and the ILD-200 has a RESET button that seems to serve no purpose. The manual just says "reserved". When I tried to use it to find a leak, I started with the U-bends on the indoor coil. With an IR sensor like this you have to slowly sweep the tip as it alarms on changes in gas concentration. A few times I got a reading in different areas, but they were never repeatable. I would move the detector to another room or even cycle the power, and return the same area and get nothing. I got several alarms while just walking around or outside when I was nowhere near any refrigerant source. I am beginning to believe that light bumps to the probe can cause an alarm. I have emailed tech support and if they do not have any solutions, I am sending this one back and getting a heated diode sensor. They are easier to use but unfortunately have a fairly short life.

Bom ainda eu não utilizei o equipamento em campo, porém a única coisa que eu fiz foi ligar o aparelho e realizei a calibragem por cerca de 30 segundos,o manual de instrução é todo em inglês,Infelizmente eu vou ter que traduzir para que eu possa entender a sua funcionalidade. Acompanha os10 Filtros,um cabo USB e o manual de instrução, e também a maleta 💼 plástica. Não sei se é normal ao Tocar na ponta do sensor e ele ficar tocando, tem momentos que para de tocar ao pega na ponta do sensor. Eu achei que não valeu tudo isso, o preço está muito caro.

Funciona muy bien el unico detalle (como en todos los detectores) debes estar atento para no golpear el dispositivo ya que esto generara un falso positivo
