I found out from a Riordan clinic presentation that "all eye disease is accompanied by low glutathione levels". I think that taking these and glutathione seems to have slowed the rapid deterioration of my eyesight. I live in hope that it might help to reverse it, even if partially. We were disappointed that although it apeared to indicate it was a product with AREDS2 in the advertising it does not mention it on the label. The AREDS2 formula was strongly advised by the opticians to counter Macular Degeneration. I will however give it the benefit of the doubt and see if there's any improvement.
