Great machine
This was simple to put together and super easy directions from the book. I got it done about 2- 2 1/2 hours but thatโs due to having issues with the elbow guard nothing from the company at all. I had to use my own tool for that and to squeeze the guard together. Got on the machine and walla working out at home for the first time in 40 yrs of going to a gym. Itโs about time I did this and this machine is whatโs needed for my knee issue. I used an expensive one for knee rehab. So glad I finally leaped and got this. Now since I went to the gym I got the dial dumbbells and workout dvds. I highly recommend this machine. If I would have thought it more through I would have gotten the one with 21 levels all because it would be more challenging. Just saying for those whom workout that level 13 is quite easy for me (now I didnโt go for 30 minutes either. I started with level 1 and working through all levels). But if you are starting out, I will say this if you can afford to get the 21 levels than buy such. If you canโt afford the higher end one than get what you can afford. You wonโt be disappointed at all. Any workout is a great way to stay flexible and be able to move about when you get older. Update april 22, 2026 I can say since I have been using this for a few weeks now that if you use your arms against your legs, makes your legs work harder and your arms. Which I was a tad sore the next day which is a good thing. I use the every other day and whatโs nice is I watch my programs and welp walla I worked out either 30 mins or 45 minutes. Sometimes I go through 2 shows. Very nice and never thought I would love being home while working out ๐

High quality, sturdy, smooth motion, quiet. Well worth the $!
I just put this together today. LOVE IT. Packaged extremely well, incredibly sturdy with perfectly machined heavy-duty parts. Very easy to put together. I have neuropathy in my hands but was able to fairly easily assemble this myself (Iโm a mildly โhandyโ woman in case anyone is wondering) though it probably took me a little longer than average. The instructions are some of the best Iโve ever seen, so clear and easy to follow. Screws, bolts and washers all neatly se parated into small plastic bags for each stage of the assembly, no missing parts. After assembly I tried it out, and it is everything I wanted. This is a high quality, very sturdy machine, and beyond well worth the price. If you are worried about the quality because itโs only $750 and all the other machines like this are thousands of dollars, donโt be. I have pain and numbness in my hands and feet, and this machine is perfect. Big wide pedals so I donโt have to worry about my feet slipping off, easy to grip handles, very smooth motion and whisper quiet - it barely makes any noise at all. I was very impressed; in all ways it is better than I expected and more than I could hope for. If I had anything to complain about it would be that the seat bottom is a bit small for my bottom, but it still seemed comfortable when using the machine. I tried all the different positions (very easy to adjust the seat back angle, seat height and the many different arm handle positions) and it really seems like this recumbent elliptical hybrid can do it all. Also the place for my iPad is perfect, grips it nicely. I have A LOT of medical problems that make exercising difficult but I am looking forward to using this piece of equipment, and I canโt say enough good things about it. I thought buying one of these online was a bit risky (because what if after assembly I didnโt like it and had to return it?) but finding a store that has a few true hybrid ellipticals that are recumbent to select from and try out was not happening in central North Carolina. This machine exceeded my expectations and I urge those of you thinking about it to be comfortable choosing this one.

Excellent quality & workout, quiet, if physically limited may need help initially getting on and off
Overall, excellent piece of equipment (if not too restricted in movement/not too overweight), provides a very good adjustable intensity workout and range of motion, is easier on the joints then most equipment of this type. Overall an excellent piece of equipment that provides a very good adjustable intensity workout and range of motion and is easier on the joints then most equipment of this type. However, IMO, a design flaw that needs to be improved. If you are limited in motion, a senior? with joint paint and or too overweight you might need help getting on and off of this machine without worry that you might slip/fall on mount or dismount; (providing a simple T-Bar behind and above the seat would also help provide a better hand hold). If, IMO teeter could somehow reduce the height of the bars that you have to step over so that you could easily lift your leg up and over to/from the pedals to more easily mount/dismount and lower the seat level so a shorter person could mount/dismount easier than I would improve the rating to a 5 star. For most people who are not physically challenged then because of the way the pedals move up and down as opposed to a bike like circular motion, then this machine is much easier on the knees/hips etc. Also if you raise and put your feet up (as the video shows) you can get an excellent upper body workout while resting the legs and provides variety while giving a really good workout to your arms/shoulders. The seat levels are adjustable for taller people and overall if you are Not too physically disabled/challenged this is an excellent piece of equipment that with some modification by the mfgr could be great for almost everyone. Note: we bought a wider separate padded seat cushion to put over the seat provided that also helps. Suggest that mfgr widen the seat, but again for most people in my opinion, it is high quality constructed and provides a really good exercise/conditioning workout, is quiet and time flies on it when watching TV.

I love my Teeter!!
I love my Teeter! Breaking it out of the Delivery box was more challenging than the assembly. I put it together by myself. using the video instructions it was perfect. Itโs a pretty solid workout machine, and I really like the ease of using it. I decided to put the benefit of walking after a meal to the test by using my Teeter for 20 to 30 minutes after each meal and to my surprise I truly believe Iโm seeing results I couldnโt be happier. The price was perfect. it doesnโt take up too much space it was easy to put together. My only drawback was the seat was very hard and made it challenging for longer workouts, so I simply ordered the cushion seat which also came timely and it has changed everything. Well worth the price.

The Best Machine Ever
I used to be very athletic but I used up all my mileage by the age of 45. So at 62, I, of course, have knee, hip and back pain, like most people who purchased this machine, and for the first time ever, I actually look forward to exercising! It is whisper quiet and almost too comfortable. Don't get me wrong, you can work up quite a sweat! I love that you can move your upper and lower body at the same time; this is exactly what I was hoping to find and the price is almost too reasonable, compared to other similar machines. Awesome! I've used it for a month now, and I have increased my endurance quite a bit. I use it almost every day for 30 minutes to an hour. I love it! Oh, I had one little issue, and this company (Teeter) is incredible!! They are very responsive and resolved the issues immediately. Can't say enough about them. I raved about my new exercise machine to my boss, so he bought one. Now he's hooked. My neighbor tried it and will buy one soon. I have to highly recommend this machine because it is effective and a great alternative to walking, or other impact exercises. I can't comment on assembly because my hubby assembled it while I was at work, but he said it took him less than an hour. He said unboxing it took longer.

Great Workout for Seniors
I am a senior citizen lady who doesn't get enough exercise especially with the "stay at home" orders we are now experiencing. When this item arrived at my door in a huge box I was at a loss as to how to bring it inside. Fortunately my neighbor across the street was working in his garage. I asked him to help me to bring it inside. He was so nice and he asked if I would like him to assemble it. Of course I said yes and he proceeded to unpack it and put it together in the place I had designated. All of this took about a half an hour for him. I could have never done it on my own. Now that it is in place I am very happy with it and I am working up to longer sessions each day. It is a very nice unit and sturdy. It takes up quite a space in my bedroom but it is worth it for my well being. I am happy that I made this purchase and would recommend it to older citizens but definitely prepare yourselves for needing help to bring it in and put it together and warn them to start out slow and be very careful about no overdoing it all at once.

Best home workout for My disabled son
Has ZERO noise level, first piece of equipment I have owned that doesnโt make some kind of noise which is awesome. I had my son who works in an auto repair shop put it together and it took him maybe an hour. While an allan was provided we did need to pull out my tool kit for a bit to make putting it together easier. This was mostly purchased for my 6โ4โ 220 lb son who has a brain injury and usually works with a trainer at the gym 2x a week, but we wonโt go into that ( year of 2020 incase youโre reading this in the future). I am 5โ6โ I personally feel like there needs to be a bit more of a range length wise for the arms, but overall itโs a nice set up. You do kind of have to step over a small bar to get onto the seat so if you have mobility/stability issues keep that in mind ( always a concern for my son) Over all we have been using it twice a day for a month now and I have recommended it to others who miss the gym as much as we do. For us it does what we need, the price is decent, the quality of machine is very good and ZERO noise is perfect for working out any time.

Poor Quality control
The unit is sturdy and quiet. Assembly instructions are clear. We had a problem with the display not working. Contacted Teeter and they sent a new arm with display. Still didn't work so they sent a new base. That meant we had to get help again carrying the heavy base downstairs, disassembling old base and assembling the new base. Then get help carrying old base back upstairs and repacking it to return. Still didn't solve the problem and display still doesn't work. All was a huge inconvenience with no resolution of the problem. Customer service was very nice to deal with but they definitely have a problem with quality control. Now we're stuck with a $800 piece of defective equipment. Also have to say the provided display (if it worked) is very rudimentary when compared to similarly priced exercise equipment such as a treadmill. Update 4-26-2019 Decided to update my review because miraculously the display suddenly started working. Not sure why, but I noticed this happen when I pushed both foot platforms all the way down in more of a elliptical way. Now when I use the machine the display works and the pedals move slightly more like an elliptical. I'm 5'1'' and find the arms to be too long but if you grip them further down seems to work fine for me. Other than that I'm using this machine daily and find it to be a pretty good workout

Totally met our expectations!
We debated in the FreeStep for months and finally decided to buy it. We couldn't be happier! It's a great all over body workout and we feel so good after we've worked out. We've had other cardio machines and weren't happy with them, but we couldn't be happier with our FreeStep. We want to workout and we enjoy our workouts which is half the battle! Highly recommended!
