Does the job well
5gig as advertised, fast, fit in pcie slot. Easy to install but need to download drivers from website for 5 gig. Works great.

Works in QNAP. Recommend replacing thermal bond.
If you're looking at this item and wondering if it will work with your QNAP NAS (TVS-hx74 specifically), it does. Trouble-free install from the get-go, worked immediately and has been great for over a year. The first thing I did before install, since this is installed upside down (with the heatsink facing down and not up), was to remove the heatsink and corresponding thermal pad and replace with a small bead of Arctic Silver 5, then reinstall the heatsink. My only complaint now is that this card is $20 cheaper than when I purchased 😢.

Works well, but based on outdated chipsets
I ordered this NIC for a server I have at home. Installation was easy enough, though I have several decades of experience dealing with computers. My server required some reconfiguration in the operating system in order to get the card running, but that is due to the specific software it is running. The Linux kernel itself recognised the card from the start and I didn't have to recompile anything. After testing the NIC for a few months, I can say that it is on par with the onboard ethernet solution from my motherboard, but at least it is offloading the workload from the CPU, allowing the system to run more optimally. The card, however, is based on old, outdated chipsets, so don't expect the latest and greatest blazing speeds, features, or efficiency of newer cards.

Works with Linux, with one caveat
Okay, so like every multiport NIC I have ever used (of which there have been quite a few) has enumerated to the host OS with its ports in sequential order. The first one might be the top or the bottom, but the one next to it has always been the next in order. This card? Nope! For whatever bizarre reason it goes 1-3-4-2. The MAC addresses increment by port just as you'd expect, but if you were expecting the first port to be enp6s0 and the second port to be enp7s0 you are going to have a bit of a rough time because enp7s0 (eth3) will be the port furthest away from it on the bottom. Go figure.Other than that the thing works just fine with Linux using the r8169 driver (which is common enough it should be in any distribution someone should still be running). The price is great, construction seems fine, and apparently the heat-sink built into it is decently specced because it doesn't get particularly warm in operation. The port enumeration thing is unusual, but it's no reason to shy away from this card.

True 5gb performance lan card.
This lan card works as advertised, however you will need to update your drivers as the generic drivers only connect at 2.5gb. Once your drivers are updated from the Realtek site, you will experience 5gb speeds. Happy with the price, performance and ease of use.

Works on Windows 11 (if you install the drivers manually). And then it broke.
The card works at the 10Gbps, 2.5Gbps and 1Gbps speeds. But it died at the 28-day mark--would not power on. I revised my rating from 5 to 1.On Windows 11, the drivers weren't automatically installed. Drivers come on a CD-ROM but you can download the drivers from the Binardat website. Go to the Site Map at the bottom of the main page and select Downloads to find the drivers. Select the AQUANTIA driver. I installed drivers from the CD-ROM and the card identifies itself as a 'Marvell AQtion 10Gbit Network Adapter'. Today, there's one on Amazon for $10 less.

If you need a 5gb port, it’s a no brainer
Plug and play, very stable, cheap and works pretty well over stress, never had a single problem!MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE DRIVER!!!

Good dual port 1Gb network switch
I have purchased two of these switches with good success. They are auto negotiating with respect to link speed. I am using them in Dell 5070 thin client PCs running OpenSuSe Tumbleweed Linux. The network card worked out of the box without having to load additional drivers or making changes to the kernel. The card has an adapter for 1/2 height slots or works as supplied with full height slots.

Worked right away with TrueNAS (FreeBSD)
Worked right away to connect a TrueNAS Core machine to a Unifi USW Enterprise PoE switch. So far so good, connection appears stable.
