Can you put canvas painting in this frame ?

I love these frames. I use them for everything! But I use them most often to mount 30x40cm diamond paintings affixed to a 12x16 inch watercolor flat canvas. I can also use a mat if needed. I like the plastic instead of glass, less glare, no danger of shattering. I keep multiples, in various finishes on hand.
