Movie Monster Series - Godzilla 2023

I picked up the Bandai Movie Monster Series Millennium Godzilla figure and overall I’m really happy with it. If you’re a fan of the Millennium era design from Godzilla 2000, this is a really nice collectible for the price. The first thing I noticed was the weight and feel of the vinyl. It’s lightweight but still feels sturdy and durable in hand, which is pretty typical for Bandai’s Movie Monster Series. It doesn’t feel cheap or hollow, and it stands securely without tipping over. The paint quality is also very solid. The metallic purple dorsal plates really stand out and the darker body color looks very close to the film design. The color accuracy is one of the highlights of the figure in my opinion, especially on the spikes and claws. In terms of articulation and movement, it’s fairly limited, which is expected for this line. The arms and legs have basic articulation so you can adjust the pose slightly, but it’s more of a display figure than a highly poseable action figure. That said, the sculpt is dynamic enough that it looks good on a shelf even without much posing. The size is right around 6 inches tall, which fits perfectly with other figures in the Movie Monster Series. It’s a good scale for display and works well alongside other Godzilla or kaiju figures if you’re building a collection. The Movie Monster Series - Godzilla: Final Wars - Gigan 2004 Bandai Action Figure is a must-have for any Godzilla fan or collector! Great durability, good quality and detail, and two of the arms and the head all have excellent mobility! Makes a great coffee mug protector!

I wanted a 6” -ish figure to go with my others. The Playmates version of GxK Godzilla was kinda bad: Whatever process they use to apply paint - namely the eyes - missed the mark, giving their figure a derpy cheap look. The Bandai figure was of superior quality. So I gave the Playmates figure to a child, and added the Bandai figure to my Godzilla shelf in its place.

Como fan de la era Heisei, esta figura de SpaceGodzilla de Bandai no decepciona. Lo que más destaca es el nivel de detalle en los cristales de los hombros y la corona, que tienen un acabado translúcido muy fiel a la película. ​La pintura está muy bien aplicada, sin desbordes, y las articulaciones son lo suficientemente firmes para mantener poses dinámicas sin que la figura se venza por el peso de la cola. Es una pieza robusta que se siente de calidad en la mano, no es el típico plástico ligero.
