I comb him every week or so and it’s good for collecting hair but given that’s it’s coming winter, he isn’t shedding as much.

I got two of these to help with grooming and cleaning our dog and they’re a big help. The flexible rubber is well designed and sturdy with the support hand grip, it’s soft on his skin and is very good at removing dirt that’s got right down under his fur.

He's a cat off the streets and we unfortunately didn't get him until he was almost an adult (8 months) so its been a task getting him used to being brushed. Thank goodness he's a short hair and didn't shed much at first! But as the months grew warmer it started becoming more important that I started brushing his loose fur.I've tried all sorts of brushes, the glove, slicker, various other rubber massaging brushes... he hated them all. The fine metal comb was as much as he'd tolerate as long as he spent a good 10 minutes sniffing it first. It required a lot of patience! But combs barely did much removing of fur... that's when my friend pointed out he could be a Lynx Point Siamese and I started googling how to groom them, and many of the websites recommended a curry brush. So I immediately got one.It took maybe 2 goes of convincing him to try it but I finally got a few strokes in and he melted. He now enjoys a good weekly brushing session and I enjoy not having so much fur on my laundry... which he likes to climb.

This is the best item I have found to groom my short haired so far, however it still isn't quite right.Appreciate these are for horses, so the needs are much different. The rubber is harder, denser, and smoother than expected (but makes absolute sense considering a horses coat's needs) If they were a little softer, grippier and more flexible they would be perfect for a short haired dog!I use this to raise the shedding hairs from the coat then use a moist hand or wet wipe to wipe the loosened haired odd the dog.

This fitted my 7 year olds hands. Far to small for an adult. Did not seem to remove hair from a shedding labrador at all. Very disappointed.

I was looking at dog brushes bc I killed the one I had (the stupid metal bristles started falling out) when I saw that some feller had answered a question about one I was looking at. A woman (I'm assuming, who cares?) was describing her dog's fur and asking if that was the right type for her and he pointed her (and inadvertently, me) to this one. Man, I wish I could shake that guy's hand! This one was SO much cheaper than all the others I was considering but more importantly, it's PERFECT for my dog! I don't know how to describe the fur on a Dachsador (half black lab/half curly-haired Weiner dog [Dachshund+Labrador=Dachsador]) but it's about medium length (2-3 inches on most parts), super soft on the ends but a little thicker toward the shaft, and it sticks to everything yet flies around in the air in circles and manages to land on the stove. (Hey, I guess I DO know how!) Yeah, what do you brush THAT with? THIS! The bristles aren't too long but his coat isn't very thick. I wouldn't think hardish plastic would be the way to go but he loves it and it works REALLY well! When I'm done, I just pick up the edge of fur left on the brush and it pretty-much all comes off in one lift. Now, I don't know if it's the design or the material but an interesting thing to note is that hair doesn't fly everywhere as much as it does when I used other brushes, either. I used to have to vacuum the area after brushing him but with this, it holds most of the hair on those little nubs. There might be a few fly-aways but not enough to bust out the sweeper. Noice!

Nachdem wir schon einige Bürsten ausprobiert haben die aber alle zu stachelig und kratzig waren und mit denen sich mein Hund ungern bis gar nicht bürsten ließ sind wir bei dieser Bürste gelandet (mein Hund ist ein kurzhaariger chihuahua)....weiches kunststoffmaterial das nicht kratzt und trotzdem die Haare schön wegnimmt.wir haben die Bürste im Garten liegen und wenn wir rausgehen wird einmal kräftig durchgebürstet, sogar kreisförmig und gegen den Strich ist damit erlaubt.....😃....die Haare lassen sich gut aus der Bürste entfernen und der Haaranteil auf dem Sofa und in der Wohnung generell ist angenehm Zurückgegangen.ich würde diese Bürste wieder kaufen, vor allem weil sie auch gut in der Hand liegt und einen guten halt aufgrund der angebrachten laschen hat.wenn man den Hund bürstet ist es wie streicheln, nur mit Bürste......
