will the 270 xl fit i now have 270 ?

Yes, it should fit. Both fit in my Canon printer. Same size cartridge, it just contains more ink. I googled it and got an answer that the XL cartridges hold double the ink and you should be able to print double the number of pages.

Do these have expired dates

There is an embossed number on the back "203503." I may guess that this designates an expiry date of March, 2035 - but confirmation would be helpful.

are these cartridges new in sealed package or re-filled?

7./19/2023 - mine came in a ripped open package.. The package had an orange "Testing sticker " on the top right. And it had "(NEW)" on the bottom of that sticker. Doubt it is new since the package was ripped open. NEW and REFURBISHED are NOT the same thing. And The seller should have put "REFURBISHED" in the title! Seller did say "Refurbished" in the product description, but it still felt misleading.
