Excellent Value and Quality
For the price paid ยฃ270 this is a very high quality built machine and I donโt hesitate to highly recommend. Iโve only had it a week so longevity isnโt something I can comment on but build quality feels very good (easily as good as a Proform ยฃ600 machine). The seat movement along the bar is silent and smooth. Easy construction took less than 10 mins. Connects to Kinomap app and HR strap to enable better data. When purchasing I noticed the negative reviews focused on two issues. The footholds and the lack of resistance. This model now appears to ship with the improved foot holds as they were standard on mine so hopefully that issue is alleviated. My only comment is they donโt rotate on their axle (fixed in place) and I find a little bit of discomfort comes into play around 7-8 mins into my exercise. The second issue I saw raised is one I struggle to understand. Iโm 85kg medium build 6 foot tall male whoโs very active. I found 10 mins on the rowing machine gave a decent cardio and muscle workout. Resting HR of 45 easily moved up to 160bpm during that 10 mins averaging 2m30s per 500m. I have it set to its highest resistance. The water sound is very quiet and you can watch TV etc while rowing without disruption. Overall an excellent machine at an excellent price.

Good, affordable rowing machine
I've been using this for a few months now, and it's going great. It's sturdy and well built, good for the price. It was easy to build, and the resistance seems fine to me. The kinomap app is okay, but not the best. It's basically just an overlay over YouTube videos, so i ended up paying for a different app more dedicated to rowing. The machine connects to the app fine via Bluetooth, even though the app says it's not a fully supported brand, i haven't had a problem You will definitely need to buy a mat if you have wood floors. The rowing machine was sliding back and forth like crazy when I rowed faster, but i bought a ยฃ10 yoga mat to go under it and it fixed the issue perfectly. I did also buy a seat cushion after a month or so, as the machine's seat can start to hurt after 30 minutes or so. But I'm not sure these accessories are a negative, as I imagine they're issues I'd face with any machine Overall, very happy with it.

All ok, nice work outs, a couple of extra inches would have been nice
+ Good build quality, easy to put together, computer is easy to use, water resistance is good, my work outs have been good - I'm 6"2 and a couple of extra inches on the runners would have been nice Overall, all good and I recommend. Looking at other rowers in Oct-2025 there are none near this price point that seem to offer what this has.

Great rowing machine for starting out
I have just started using this great little rower, the delivery was fast and coming 80% assembled it was very easy to set up following instructions (approx 30 mins max) The seat and handle grips are very comfortable, the water resistance action is smooth and the sound of the water swishing as you row is nicer than the air resistance rowers at the gym. The seat glide is smooth, hand rail is good but gets uncomfortable when hands start sweating after about 10 mins. The foot straps are really good, strong velcro with easy put on and take off d-rings, you do need to wear trainers though as tried bare feet and heels slip out of the foot holds. The monitor is very basic and could do with more features. I am trying the free 14 day trial on the Kinomap Ap, have done 3 sessions and the link to phone is good, links well with rower, not sure how accurate readings are but definitely more motivating through the ap than just using the rower and monitor and will be even better via i-pad or smart tv. If using on laminate floor, you will need mats under front and back stand as rower started moving backwards and forwards during rowing session, especially when increasing effort. I full the water tank to max level (about 6 litres) I used a jug and funnel as was much quicker than pump supplied comes with 3 water purifying tablets (one every 2 months) Overall for the price it is a decent, sturdy machine. May need more resistance if more competitive and would recommend using an ap to keep you motivated. May send another review in a few moths with progress report.

Good value and well-made
Happy with this machine so far. I always hated rowing machines at the gym, but appreciated the cardio workout they gave, so in middle age we wanted something to get us fitter and chose this one largely based on price and reviews. Thanks to the water resistance, the action is very smooth and the machine isn't too noisy. The seat is initially a little uncomfortable, but after a few days it's fine. Overall it's a pretty solid piece of kit. It's built to a price, so the console is a dim, old-style LCD but it's fine for checking times, distances and calories. I've actually enjoyed using the rowing machine for the first time in my life, and I can feel the benefits already. The water resistance seemed fine for us - we've started at level 3 and that's a comfortable, easy row that gets us out of breath on a long session. We'll probably up the resistance as time goes on. For the price, this seems like a very good buy.

Very Decent build, design and smooth function
Very decent solid piece of kit, ergonomic and space saving storage. A little complex to put together (maybe I was tired that day- job better done with with 2 and there is a tricky point mounting the main big piece onto the frame where you have 2 screws from both sides (simultaneously for "wiggle room" that can't be done completely from either side first...). have been on it for a month now and love the sound, easy-to roll away, space-saving and sturdiness. Until I can move to the country and start rowing a boat with some buddies on a scenic river every Sunday morning and Kingfishers dive on trout and salmon around me... this will do (sort of).

Really great - just one niggle...UPDATE - a few other niggles...and a dropped star.
Edit update: Having used this for some time, I think it needs to be clear that the monitor is pretty useless. There is no energy expenditure, the calorie use is the same no matter the rowing rate or speed, and there is no split. The only app I can make "see" this is Kinomap - and that's not cheap. It gives the rest of the data that you need to show improvement and plan development. The machine does what it does - the foot grips are OK, but being velcro and using slip-buckles, they end up twisting - not the end of the world, but annoying when you are 30 minutes in. Also, when you connect to Bluetooth via Kinomap, the monitor will stop working, and look like it's broken. It's not, it can't do both things at once. Frustrating as I asked Customer Service who sent me a new monitor rather than being aware of the "design feature". It helps you row, makes you sweat, it'll do - but be aware of the limitations. This is, overall, a great machine. It's not a C2 Concept, but it's not the price of a C2. Does it row? Yep. Is there a lot of C2 snobbery out there? Yep. Do I care? Nope. It works for me. Ordered, delivered, built - it takes very little time (however, the arrow on the seat is there for a reason - I put it on backwards the first time in my rush to build it!). The tools are all there, it's not rocket science. Took me around 10 minutes I think. I also put this on a yoga mat to protect the floor, not essential, but I've always done that. I've also noticed zero movement of the machine when pushed hard. The actual machine is sturdy - much more than I expected it to be. It feels like it's going to last a long time (or until the usual wear and tear takes it's toll on things like the webbing strap, etc). I was a little concerned about the foot holds, and asked for the bigger ones, but it appears that all models are now rolled out with the "enhanced" ones. I don't think I've ever found foot holds that I liked, but these are pretty OK. Main point - customer service is brilliant! Quick responses, no messing about (more on that later!). They adjust up and down, and have decent enough velcro straps. I'd like a little more "angle" control, but you can't expect everything. The machine is basic to use - learn the correct form, and it will work with you. Water rowers are very different in that you don't set a lever to change resistance. I filled it right up, and you generate resistance yourself in the way that you row. Harder rowing, quicker push with the legs, faster hinge, will generate naturally higher levels of resistance. You can go as slow as you want, and get little resistance, but then again you can set the lever to "1" on a normal machine and do the same. If you are new to this, I can't stress enough the need for form - watch videos, watch other people. The pattern of the rowing action is crucial to getting this right, avoiding injury, and understanding "hard" row and "easy" row. Only gripe is the display. It's not the best. Mine was broken, but I was sent one out via DPD as soon as I told them. Easy enough to fit, and all fine now. It doesn't do what the C2 monitor does, that's undeniable. It's not the best. However, this does happily link to apps such as Kinomap and in effect that takes care of the issue. If you are competition rowing and you need all that data (or you just need to post "look at me" photos in rower social media groups, then this is an issue. For everyone else, not a problem. Pros - good price, especially with vouchers. Easy to build. Simple to use. Very robust. Customer service is exceptional. Cons - monitor is a bit rubbish and could do with having more data (split, SPM, etc).

Very nice indeed
Very fast delivery and great team that delivered it. Easy to set up, very robust design and and moves very smoothly. Itโs a real beast of a machine and me and my partner are looking forward to using it.
