SlapsV2
This version feels more beefier than the V1 for some reason-so quality went up a notch. The cutout is slightly different than the v1 (smaller) so I had to make plates so they fit Over the original v1 hole. The specs (IN Detail) can be found only on the Earthquake EU website-and not the American one for some reason. No big deal. I have them in a 2.4cf box which puts it at 24hz (no mass). They are in the box pictured that housed my V1s. 4 total on 2 15s and WOW. They are loosening bolts all over the car. You may loose a db versus ported but the quality makes up the difference. Definitely worth it. I love the fact that I didn't need to make a box that took up the entire front and back my trunk for these lows. No EQ in the car but do have it on a crossover. Do it right and you'll love it. Make sure your sub has a Qts of .4 or below otherwise you may break something.

I found the limits!
I ran this for a couple of years in a diy home theater sub and not knowing what I was doing had way too much weight on it trying to get it to dig low. It made my sub bottom out and I had to turn it way down. About a year ago I decided to try it in the trunk of my car with a different subwoofer and played around with the weight. I ended up removing the pre installed weight and took it down to about 200 grams total and in my 1.2ยณft box, that was exactly what I was looking for. With my single skar svr12 on 1.5k this thing dug down to ~ 25hz before dropping off noticably. I probably still had too much weight as it started ripping the inner surrounds and ripping apart the passive radiator. I don't know if it impacted something in the trunk or the weight over time cracked the cone. Anyways it ended up destroying itself but I'm so impressed with the sound that I ordered another. I got 3-4 years out of that one so it didn't owe me anything. I'll attach a video of it beating and the aftermath, but if you're more sensible than me and willing to actually take the time to tune it instead of just throw weight at it and go you'll get even longer use out of it without with of destroying things. I never thought I could get a single cheap 12 to seriously flex my windows at 26hz but this little beast made it happen. Even though I killed it I obviously still recommend it, it's expensive for a pr but definitely worth it! Now to get this new one broken in :D

7 months later... disaster!
This was my first time adding a passive radiator to a sealed speaker. It's amazing how much additional volume this adds to such a small box. The sub digs deeper without unloading like it would with a port. It sure does shake the box around when it hits the resonance with that weight... the radiator is much heavier than the woofer coil. It's a good idea to install two radiators on opposite sides of a box, i might try that next. I would buy this again. I added 1 to a single Skar VXF 12 in 15 cubic inches. Update - it only lasted 7 months... i am sad and disappointed. The plastic around the bolt cracked sending the weight flying into the subwoofer magnet. I am lucky it did not short out the terminals on my subwoofer. I knew there was a problem because i started smelling MDF dust from inside the box. Just to clarify, i did not add any extra weight to the unit. It's just the minimum weight it came installed with. Also, I'm not running my car at competition SPL, it's only 1500 watts cruising around town! I considered adding a large washer to the front to sandwich/clamp the plastic, but the plastic has a long crack. The material is too brittle and it will surely fail again. If you decide to buy this, i would remove the foam dampener and E6000 glue the weight into the plastic ring before installing. This would spread the pressure from the bolt hole to the larger reinforcing ring and perhaps avoid this failure. In my case the integrity of the plastic has been compromised so no repair is possible.

A nice passive radiator
I own four of these now. Even talked a few friends into purchasing them as well. Good quality product. Still confused on the version. 12 V3 or the added V3 on the end. I must be blind. I didn't see any difference between the point or version 2 versus version 3. Maybe it's marketing? Maybe it's the manufacturing material but they are quality but I don't agree with the price of them at this time. But the price of everything else has gone up too. But back to the review. These don't appear to make any type of flapping noise they handle. All of the pork pressure frequencies a port would use, but instead they stroke their suspension in and out to create the base wave from that port instead. Thus, they're silent. If you're looking to do a sealed enclosure and it's too small, you might put one of these in there. I've done experiments from using the old Sunfire subwoofer with these to a good high quality car audio f or home audio subwoofer with these as well. Don't think you'll go wrong. Give him a try. They are much better than using ports.

Best quality passive radiators built 3 of my own subs using earthquake passive radiators. The bass is so deep and power full. I'm modifying my 2 Klipsch 12 inch subs to passive radiators subs.hopefully the Klipsch will have as much bass as my home made subs.

El radiador es de buena calidad y de buenos materiales aunque le falta un manual de usuario y especificar para que sirve el tornillo central, en que ayuda en el sonido o cual es su funcion๐ค
