Tasted very good and chocolate. Everyone liked it.
I bought this for my husband's birthday party. Each person I talked to said it was very good tasting and they really liked the taste. Some said it was like cheesecake texture. It was yummy and I recommend it highly.

Comes in wasteful styrofoam box
The taste is OK, but I won't get it again for how it is shipped. It arrives in a styrofoam box, that is not recyclable. It won't fit in our city-provided garbage cans so I tried breaking it into pieces. It is too strong for that. I ended up breaking it up with a hammer. Surely there must be some other way for them to ship this instead of a large, thick, styrofoam box that will take hundreds of years to decompose in a landfill.

This IS a no sugar added dessert. Beware!
Allow 5-7 days for delivery. It mentioned 2 days when I ordered, but it took longer, which is OK. Just plan for it. The cake was delicious and very pretty. I served it at my birthday party. I am trying to avoid sugar and desserts., so I went with no sugar added. The ingredients in the dessert caused 4 of my guests to have a blow-out reaction the next day. In the future, I will order a regular cake and eat a few bites. It was a very good cake, I just learned my lesson. I may order from David's again - I will order a regular cake, or make my own cake (very delicious, using homemade buttercream frosting). Party On!

***Update: the more pieces I eat of this cake the more I feel the need to reduce my rating. There is literally no flour in this “cake” - it’s literally hydrogenated palm oil and chocolate per the ingredients. So it’s like eating chocolate flavored lard. I wound up eating 4 pieces in total and just dumped the majority of the cake in the trash because it just didn’t sit well in my stomach and didn’t taste good. It’s just gross. Would give it zero stars if I could.*** The cake itself is okay, nothing spectacular, but acceptable. However, what I received is a solid color DARK chocolate cake (more like a ganache through and through). I was expecting a lighter overall flavor and texture based on the photos of the cake, so it’s not exactly what I’d hoped for. It’s also got a ton of trans fats, which I wasn’t aware of at purchase. Would not buy again.
