This is a beautiful story. It has true humanity on so many different generational levels, everyone should read it. I'm a teacher and my students have always been mesmerized by this story. I've given copies to grown friends and never been disappointed by their warm reactions. Don't miss this story.

Great Book
Shipping was super fast ordered it on Monday shipped Tuesday and had it Wednesday by 4pm, the book came in fantastic condition, and we had it in time for her project due on Friday! So far my daughter says its a good read!

One of the most amazing books Ive ever read/worked with
Taught this book in the 6th grade for 3 years straight as extensive reading. Its amazing to teach countries and cultures, vocabulary, some verb tenses and especially values and theme. Ideally for a kid who’s insterested in sailing, traveling the world and war.

Speechless
I just finished the book! Right now, I'm still in post book awe! Wow! What a story! Beautiful right down to the last sentence. This may be the most heart touching book ever. I am speechless!!!!! The tale of relationships and simple living. Heartbreak and joy all at the same time. Please do not miss this story!

Heartwarming children's book
I would recommend this book for children or young adults. I liked the Robinson Crusoe like story, and the plot was evenly paced. It was engaging throughout.

A great read
A brilliant read with a very compelling opening page! Its easy to read with highly relatable characters and realistic in its telling. I have read of several who got 'left behimnd' at the end of the war. I wont give and spiolers, but while kind of predictable, its still a great reead. I love novels based in a real historic context.
