How far away does the remote work from?

Tested range yesterday, roughly measured 6 meters and working fine. As the remote is infra-red (like your tv) you need line of sight so probably a bit longer would work too. Also to note, in order to disarm this alarm, when its active you need to make it chirp so it has detected movement then you can unarm it. It does work well. As a previous comment mentioned about wearing out remotes, I can't comment on that as I've not had it a long time but as it's infra-red you could buy a cheap learning remote for it and probably be able to use that no doubt.

if you have 2 of these can the one remote operate them both so you haven't got to programme them each separately to arm and dis arm .

Clifford. The answer is yes. I have two of the alarms installed at two locations and the remote will operate both. On the side of the remote there is a switch which will change the tone from a a beep to a chime. I keep it on beep and when leaving the property you press the top button to arm the device and on return you press the bottom button to disarm it. When you arm the unit you have sufficient time to leave the property without it going off and on return you have a similar amount to time to disarm it prior to the alarm going off. For your info additional remotes are not available. This is not ideal as it means only one person can have the remote! I think two remotes should be supplied with the unit. I hope this helps

I do not know, but as I had bought a second alarm the one remote works both alarms.

Does this alarm let out any sound when arming/disarming with the remote control?

Makes a click noise.However the alarm takes a while to alarm when there is an intruder

Cheap and Effective

This product arrived with a dead battery in the remote alarm!!! I bought a battery myself! It is easy to install and is very effective. It’s cheap & loud. I can sleep at night & when I leave my home I have peace of mind .

Some issues.

Useful and cheap. Remote is a little flimsy and my first one did not work. Replacement received quickly. Simple to use, but occasionally on entry the alarm won’t disarm until it is activated.

I believe it's the best of it's type (ceiling alarm)and is is good value

My order was delivered in just a day (no p&p). I found the product easy to install and is designed to make it easy to replace the AA batteries when necessary.

One star.

Good battery life but remote control button fell off after less than 2 years of very little use. A replacement was provided. The remote control as stopped working after 5 months this time. The same button as last time. I cannot recommend this product.

Very limited lifespan.

Works well for a while then the remote control dies and a replacement cannot be bought anywhere. Honeywell advise to contact supplier if unit under guarantee. Unless you want to go through this hassle or build you own infra red remote control I recommend not purchasing this item.
