No, is a strong cleaner. You don't need plenty of it. You can use it for a long time. You use it before brushing your shoes. It removes dirt en spots. Afterwards you can use Saphir Renovateur to feed the leather before brushing it. Succes!

Excellent preparation for polished shoes

I bought some leather shoes previous examples of which had polished up well to a parade ground shine. This new pair had been treated with some sort of weather protection coating and would not accept wax polish properly. A couple of applications of Renomat removed the offending coat and allowed the leather to be polished properly.

I saw a video online about this and how well it cleans leather. It’s very good and did exactly what the video said.

Good for stripping polish from leather.

I bought this to strip the polish from a pair of Chelsea boots and bring them back to leather. It worked well after repeated applications, although it did produce a strong solvent/chemical smell. Try to avoid using indoors if possible.
