I transfered a big video file from shared folder on a 1000Mbps wired computer to a DELL i7 laptop connected to ZYXEL through wifi 6 ax. Maximum I got is little over 800Mbps down, which is very fast. Almost as fast as wired speed.UPDATE: I SWITCH FROM AND TO DRIVES FROM HDD TO SDD ON MARCH 7TH, 2021 AND NOW HIGHEST I AM GETTING IS LITTLE OVER 900 Mbps DOWNLOAD SPEED. VERY IMPRESSIVE.

I have a running list of problems with this AP.I bought this device for my home as a cheaper alternative to Cisco and also using my home as test bed to potentially migrate my company hardware off Cisco as well. It has not taken long for me to discover this hardware is not even close to business worthy use.When I first set my AP up it had problem joining the cloud management. It could not use DNS server 4.2.2.2 nor my local ISP DNS 75.75.75.75. Had to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8. No this was not a issue with my local network as every other device on my network uses 75.75.75.75 without an issue.Next problem I started having was communication between AP and the cloud management. I would make changes in the Nebula interface and changes did not always go through to my AP. I also bought ZyXel switch and had same problem with switch connected to the cloud Nebula interface. This problem continued to happen even when I had AP to switch and switch to back up cable connection. Nebula could see my devices as being online. So this was not a firewall issue as at this time of testing there was no firewall in place including the modem integrated firewall was disabled. My AP would randomly reboot and once it came back up it would be factory reset so I removed it off Nebula and that problem stopped.After moving off Nebula my random reboots and random factory resets seems to have stopped. Now when I make changes the changes do apply right away as it should. This bring up my next problem. When change is made to the AP even something as simple as renaming a object, the AP resets all SSID connections. So every device loses connection for about 30 seconds to a min with any and every change made.Next and major problem. The AP is supposed to be able to handle 8 SSIDs but every time I go to add a fifth SSID the device becomes unresponsive and I have to force a manual factory reset. I can add up to 4 SSID without any problems.I will be moving on to another manufacturer and will never use this hardware again.

This access point works great for me. I have been using Apple Airport Express for couple years and I wanted to replace it with 802.11 AC coverage throughout my house. After did some research and decided to go for this production. For the latest 802.11 ac wave 2 AP, the price is reasonable, the coverage and performance was beyond my exception. Now I can enjoy the high speed WIFI connection when I am mowing lawn, working on my car at the driveway or enjoy a sunny afternoon on the my deck, not to mention the excellent coverage of entire house and basement. Btw, I have Xfinity with 200 Mbps down connection and all my wireless devices can hit this speed.I also tried out the could management feature with the latest firmware, the cloud interface was user friendly and infographic, it was very easy to program the AP via the console. Also I was able to monitor it remotely if my kids spending too much time on internet. By using this console,I was able to help my relatives to set up the WIFI connection remotely. All they need to do is plug it into the network and I was able to set it up remotely without a hiccup. And I can help them to manage it remotely without the long driving in the future. It is an awesome feature and most importantly it is free. no extra license fee for the cloud management.I highly recommend this NWA1123-AC HD. At this price, you can't get enough of it.

This access point has an excellent range. My house is about 3,500 square feet, and I used to try different routers from ASUS to Netgear, even adding a Netgear repeater. None of the solution really solved the coverage problem. I searched the new 802.11ac Wave 2 technology hoping it will resolved my problem. Several products showed up including routers and access points. However, I decided not to try another router because changing the whole network configuration again on the router can be so frustrating, especially I have several fixed IP addresses in DHCP server. After reading through the reviews, this is my pick.Also, I’m glad that it has a cloud management interface. It means that I no longer need to remember the 192.168.0.1 or 172.16.0.254 or whatever IP address that I can never remember and I can manage it even if I am away from home. With that said, I did need to upgrade the software in this AP to the latest version myself to get this functionality. This is not mentioned anywhere but only in the customer questions and answers. Looks like an oversight from Zyxel or they just released the updated software later than the hardware. Anyway, after upgrade, signing up the cloud, registering the AP and configuring it are easy and straightforward.In terms of performance, I tested some weak spots in my house and found amazing performance now. The biggest difference is the Netflix 4K video runs smoothly with wifi connection now where I had to use ethernet cable before. Despite the hassle to upgrade the firmware, the great performance is good enough for me to give 5 stars :-)

Nous voulions un réseau supplémentaire, car notre routeur était au sous sol. Donc notre connexion n'était pas stable en haut. Donc achat du ZyXel, que nous connaissons, nous sommes chez Vidéotron. Installation très simple, et mis en place de l'application qui permet la gestion du réseau. Très pratique et fonctionnel.Une dernière chose normalement ce produit est à mettre dans le garage au plafond, nous nous l'avons mis dans notre bureau et sur le bureau. Il fonctionne parfaitement et sur une longue distance.Très bon produit.
