I bought this JACO tread depth gauge specifically for my motorcycle, and it’s honestly one of the handiest little tools I’ve picked up. It’s super easy to use just press it into the tire and the dial gives you an instant, clear reading in 1/32. No guessing, no squinting. The color zones (green, yellow, red) make it really simple to see whether your tread is still good or getting close to replacement. For motorcycles where tire condition is everything, this gives me a lot more confidence before riding. The build quality feels solid, the dial is smooth, and the included carrying pouch is a nice bonus for keeping it protected in my backpack or tool kit. For the price, this thing is absolutely worth it. If you want a quick, accurate way to keep an eye on your tire health, especially for a motorcycle, this is a great pick. Highly recommend.

Easy peazy depth of thread in a second.

I own 5 vehicles and decided to purchaes this item to confirm what the mechanic may state as my tire tread condition. This item works well, is well built and feels good on your hands when using...not a cheap feel at all, which sometimes is important for tools. I went with JACO since I own a tire pressure gauge that has been a total workhorse , whihc I have owned for years. This JACO tire tread depth guag e is easy to use and the bright dial with color as measurements decrease was helpful. As soon as the item arrived I measured the tires on all 5 vehicles and it worked perfectly. I also had no issues with calibration. After eash measurement, I simply placed the gauge on a flat surface, or for speed and eas of use, just used my finger to level the plunger so it would read zero after each use. If this product is like my other JACO product, this will last for years and is another great automotive tool to have on hand.

Old school. Just works. Accurate and very durable, great size. Nothing digital. A little pricier than the digital but worth it. I expect to have forever.
