Paw paw status
Good ole case quality. Comes pretty sharp. Gives you that good ole paw paw respect when you whip it out in front of the ole timers.

Butt thumb
Best pocket knife on the market! Just watch out for it closing when using. I’ve got a butt thumb now.

Good enough
My only complaint is that the blade isn’t centered, but other than that it’s a great, sharp knife right out of the box.

My everyday carry knife.
For the price (<$20 if you wait for a sale), I do not think you can beat this knife. It is an inexpensive workhorse that takes an edge easily and holds it better than the usual 420/440 stainless blades you normally see on knives in this price range. However, you do need to add a little oil (I use vegetable or olive) to keep the blade from rusting. If you do not plan on taking care of the blade or are in a saltwater environment, you may be better served with a stainless blade. With normal use Chrome Vanadium blades will form a light-ish grey patina, this is normal and is both pleasant looking and desirable as it holds oil better and helps keep the blade from rusting. It is best to allow the patina to form over time tan force one with vinegar or an apple. I also feel that the skinner blade on this knife is a more useful that the more common clip blades, but that is personal preference.

This could be the last knife you need
Like the title says, this can easily be the last knife you will ever need (although if you are like me, it won't be the last you will buy). This knife has a very utilitarian blade shape. The steel takes an awesome edge. I was able to put a mirror edge on mine very quickly with my Lansky sharpener. The pull and snap of the blade is very good and tight. People who I let look at the knife say it is a little too hard, but I like it and it will likely loosen up over time. When closed, mine does have a little off centering of the blade, but not nearly enough to send it back, even though I know Case would take care of it. All in all, this is a very classic and thoughtfully designed knife. No frills. Good steel. Tough handle. Good proportions on everything. This knife is meant to be used and it feels great in the hand. For the price, this knife cannot be beat.
