This works. It more than works - it works wonders. The triple arc definitely helps a LOT. It increases the range to almost a centimeter from the arcs! Obviously, this is not enough to reach tight spaces due to the space of this lighter, but if you can reach it, it will light. Wet, wax, wood, or whatever, this will get it going when you need it. It lasts a while, too, so I could light a few hundred candles without worrying. It charges quickly via micro USB. It is very safe, with both the cap and the button keeping it from burning anything when dropped, along with a separate power switch on the bottom. Probably won't light a 60 gauge cigar properly, but you could try!

Let’s start off with the good: The liter works great, definitely as advertised. Works great for pipes. The lid will stay open via magnet. Now that being said. THE LID BROKE OFF AFTER THE FIFTH TIME! Come on man! Twenty bucks and you can’t even give me a decent rivet for the lid? I definitely wouldn’t order second one. One may ask why not? It’s just a top it will still work. Well the kid holds down the safety botton; it prevents the lighter from being able to ignite with it down. So make sure you turn it off after each use, your gonna shock yourself while it’s in your pocket. The shock isn’t that strong, I would comeapre it to the shock game where four players hold the handle with the botton. The only person who doesn’t get shocked, is the first person to push the botton when the light comes on.

VERY COOL! Works in wind and won't blow out. Bought for lighting cigars, and it works well; but, since the arc needs to actually touch whatever is being lit, it can take a few minutes to work it around a larger ring cigar. Probably wouldn't use as an 'every day' lighter; but, will be a life saver on windy or rainy days outside. Charges quickly, and seems to last a long time.

First of all let me start off by saying this is probably the coolest lighter I've ever seen! I know alot of reviews say just that but it's because it's absolutely true. It's just amazing! A great value for your money aswell. Until recently I didn't know they even made usb rechargeable arc lighters, let alone a triple arc lighter that can be used with pipes, cigars, bowls etc. It is very powerful compared to a traditional lighter and the battery lasts a fairly long time. The magnetic cap is very useful for turning upside down and keeping cap open (for smoking pipes/bowls, etc), as well as the safety rod that won't let the lighter turn on in your pocket if the button is pushed and the cap is closed. Most competitor's don't offer this option and once you've had it, it's hard to go without it because of it's safety and convenience factor. The switch on the bottom to completely turn off the device is nice as well for saving power and even more safety. The fact that it's USB rechargeable makes this perfect for all my lighter needs. I was tired of constantly having to spend money on disposable lighters, plus I would inhale butane when lighting a cigarette or pipe. Besides being worse for my health I also tasted the butane which wasn't very pleasant. I wish I would have found this lighter sooner. This lighter didn’t last 2 days. The button collapsed inside the body and then it wouldn’t turn off. I finally tapped it on something and the button popped back out but was never the same again. I returned the item within 2 days of receiving it. And I hate returning things!

Works fine, but the lid magnet and pin both came out

Had it 3mo now and use it regularly. All pins are still working normally. It is clear that if one does eventually malfunction the rest will remain fully operational. In response to complaints regarding usability of this model versus older models: * It now has a magnet to hold it open and closed with a satisfying flip-clink action. * It is designed for a bowl and the lid will stay open when upside-down and activated. In response to complaints regarding safety of this model versus older models: * There is a safety switch on the bottom of the device that disables activation. * When the lid is closed, it is not possible to fire the lighter. * When it is charging, it is not possible to fire the lighter. * The light that rings the activation button turns on or off, depending on whether the safety is enabled (i) by switch, (ii) by charging, or (iii) lid being closed.

Worked well until it was confiscated by TSA. $30 down the drain if you plan on traveling with it. Also extremely bulky to have In your pocket.
