I am so delighted with this cabbage shredder. I've been looking at many cabbage recipes recently and wanted something to make shredding easier. I saw some expensive options and opted for this one which was highly reviewed and reasonably priced. It is fast and efficient.. works great. Great for carrots too. It is very sharp so watch the fingers. I kept the plastic cover that shields the blade..it snaps closed and for safety reasons consider keeping that.

This thing shreds cabbage better than anything else I've tried. It even works to some degree on lettuce. Also, makes nice grooved and wide shavings out of carrots and turnips. Great for making coleslaw, salads and ramen. It has an excellent grip and a well conceived shape and feel. It cleans up easily and quickly with just water spraying and shaking off (the teeth are very sharp so I would be careful about doing any wiping). I decided to keep the plastic snap closure case it came with to protect the teeth from banging against other things in the utensil drawer and suggest you do the same.

Love this cabbage peeler, was inspired by all the youtube and tiktok videos going on about healthy cabbage recipes and had initially tried to cut my cabbage by myself really thinly but it did not give me the effect that I wanted. Using this peeler was really fast and efficient and made the cabbage really thinly shredded, giving the cabbage a really refreshing twist. I am normally one who is afraid of getting hurt but shredders but this is really safe and the design of the handle makes it comfortable to hold. It is extrememly easy to clean as well. Highly recommend!

This is a very good cabbage shredder. It shreds cabbage quicker than I can with a knife. The handle is comfortable to hold and the shredder is very sharp. There are some cons though. Once you shred down the cabbage and there’s not much left to hold onto you can accidentally shred your own hand because the shredder part is wide and very sharp. Maybe it doesn’t need to be as wide as it is. Also, once the cabbage gets shredded to a small piece, you can’t use the shredder to cut it anymore because it won’t be safe. This could lead to wasting the cabbage. You can cut the rest with a knife or some people may not want to bother getting out a knife and just throw it away which would be wasteful. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars because although it has cons, it’s still worth the money.

This thing works exactly as advertised: quick, easy to use, and makes your cabbage into piles of fine shreds in no time, particularly when you don't want enough to pull out a mandoline! Eat it the Japanese way by soaking in ice water before having the crisp cabbage with fried foods, or just dress it like slaw. Either way, love it! Caveat that it can be tougher to use on the last bits of a cabbage head, but for most of the way through, it's a speedy and study little addition to your kitchen. We love cabbage, so this works for us.

Such an amazing tool if you want to incorporate more cabbage into your diet. It makes quick work, peels and glides easily through the head of cabbage and leaving you with a ton of super-fine tendrils of slaw. It’s a great size, fits comfortable in your hand, and seems to hold up well to frequent use with no cracks or bends. I even bought one for my dad, who is a lifelong cabbage devotee. He initially tried to GIVE IT BACK TO ME (rude!) because he insisted that he likes his extra thin and didn’t want another unitasker. So I made him Japanese-style addicting cabbage slaw as a side with dinner one night, and he was instantly obsessed. He made me shave down more after dinner so he could see how to position it, and has already used it a few times over the week since (again, cabbage-obsessed). I used to kind of dread making slaw due to the annoyance of cutting everything down super fine and even, so I avoided it most of the time. Buy now it’s my laziest and most brainless base for a meal. Love this for me, my guts are so happy. Bonus Addicting Cabbage Recipe: Shave down like half a head of green cabbage. Sprinkle a little salt, sugar, chicken powder, sesame oil, and white pepper on top and mix very well to make the best dish ever. Maybe add some toasted sesame seeds on top. That’s it. That’s the recipe. Just don’t let it sit too long before serving because it softens quickly.

This totally shreds the cabbage in the most perfect and effortlessly way possible. Just cut in half and then go to work on it with this peeler.

Fab gadget! Makes slicing cabbage so much quicker and easier. Sharp, effective and good value. No complaints!

Does not seem to be an authentic product. The peeler was delivered in a cheap looking paper box and not Nonoji's typical packaging.
