A Massive Vault of Digital Speed and Beautiful Lies
I installed this four-terabyte monster into the primary slot of my Hero X670E motherboard. I paired it with a 9900X processor to create the ultimate data-crunching beast. I opened the benchmark software with trembling fingers. I expected to see the staggering, god-like speeds printed on the side of the box. A profound, sinking confusion settled into my chest. My screen reported a steady 5.8k for both reading and writing. The astronomical figures promised by the marketing team appear to be a complete cake. I am currently staring at a massive gap between the theoretical heaven of the packaging and the cold, hard reality of my desktop. I've either botched the entire BIOS configuration or I'm a victim of high-speed propaganda, I realized. I checked every setting twice. The hardware remains stubbornly locked at its own impressive, yet lower, pace. However, the sheer physical capacity is breathtaking. I possess a vast, bottomless ocean of storage that refuses to slow down regardless of the workload. Even at my "disappointing" speeds, my games load before I can even blink. I am moving files so fast that my old hard drives look like ancient stone tablets. I am keeping all five stars because the drive is an absolute unit of reliability and scale. Buy this immediately if you want a massive digital warehouse and you don't mind a little creative math from the manufacturer.

Wicked fast.
Awesome NVMe SSD. I run a powerful Linux system, with a lot of hardware and software installed. From cold, my computer is up and running in less than 40 seconds. From suspend, the system is awake, responsive and ready in well under 10 seconds. Except for one or two graphics rending programs, which always take a bit of time to finish loading, the system is snappy & highly responsive. I have numerous fans in my system, and I hardly ever hear them besides a light hum. The NVMe is practically silent from a data access usage standpoint. I have system monitors running, and the responsiveness, speed, and how low the temperatures are is quite amazing. I was surprised by how small and light the drive actually is. Considering the cost of NVME, and other forms of SSD are, I'm surprised at how good the price that I paid for it is. I haven't had the drive for very long, so how durable it is I can't really tell as yet, but from other forms of flash drives and SSD drives I've had, I am looking forward to this drive lasting me for a long time. I can't really say much about it from a visual aspect, as it's hidden below a large cooling plate, and my 5060 Ti is sat right above that, hiding it completely. From what it looked like prior to fitting onto the motherboard, the slim, smooth design looks good. It is so slim, the tightly fitting cooling plate barely even touches it, I had to add a little extra piece of cooling pad to get it to reach it. As already mentioned, I have system monitors that monitor it's temps, and I only truly notice any real temp change when the system is under an intense load. The large volume of airflow from the fans help keep everything running nicely. From a gaming, or programming & game design perspective, it's very fast and responsive.

A large and speedy ssd drive
A safe and reliable ssd. Being able to store 4tb of data and boot every app I have at lightening speeds is a must have. Like most m.2 drives and ssd drives it's as simple as plugging it in the motherboard, and formating the drive. Although the 4tb is a bit steep at full price being £300 the 1tb and 2tb drives i feel are fairly well priced for the speed they provide

Fast read and write speeds.
I got this to fit my Ugreen thunderbolt 4 SSD enclosure. As recommended it was reformatted ExFat, so it can be read both by Macs and Microsoft/intel machines. It performs well, it does get quite hot under load, but if I were using it for rendered files continuously I would use a better cooled SSD enclosure. But for my needs I have the performance that does not slow down the Mac M4 Mini pro (Maxed) with 48Gb of RAM. Lets see how well it lasts, I normally replace external storage drives every 18months being overly nervous about losing by data. Good quality board, no drama so boring!

excellent SUSTAINED write speed for larger data transfers compared to cheaper SSDs.
I waited to get this on offer at £225 having bought other makes before but regretted not having the speed of this model. PCIE4 is more than enough for me as most externally house and connected docks can't connect at faster speeds anyway. Works flawlessly with very good sustained write speeds. A previous Crucial drive hit high write speeds initially but would then drop back to 25% of the advertised speed for longer writes (>50gb). This drive hits 2500mb/s at top write speed and can maintain it for much longer data transfers. Easy to install as most m2 drives are. Good value for money and yes you're paying a premium for the sustained write speed but for me that's worth the extra.

Very nice quality.
This is silent, fast, value for money when its on sale and boots up my desktop in moments. NVMe M2 rule. Who needs 2 1/2" or 3 1/2" drives and dusty unsightly cables when you can have these on your MoBo lanes.

the most reliable storage hard drive, whether for internal use or as an external drive
I originally used SSDs as my system drives, specifically the 870 EVO, which I found reliable. When I built a new computer with four PCIe 4.0 slots, I decided to upgrade to a 1TB 980 PRO as my system drive. The experience has been exceptionally stable and smooth. At the beginning of 2024, I came across a sale and purchased a 4TB 990 PRO for data storage. Its transfer speed has proven to be very stable and fast. When it went on sale again recently, I didn’t hesitate to buy another 4TB 990 PRO. This time, I plan to use it as an external hard drive. Since I often travel for photography, having a portable and convenient external drive is essential. Using SSDs like the 870 EVO is fine, but their bulk makes them less ideal for portability. An M.2 SSD is a perfect fit, and modern M.2 external enclosures with Type-C connectors ensure excellent transfer speeds. This setup is not only practical but also greatly enhances data security. If there’s another sale, I plan to buy more!
