Must have buy for TAH surgery
Size 12 short inseam in both Prana pants and Levi 545 fit me so I selected this binder in a size XL. I tried it on before my surgery and it fit, it also fit AFTER my TAH surgery so it accommodates the swelling that happened. *following Dr orders about icing helps minimize the amount swelling experienced, however I feel like even if I hadn’t done this it would still fit sue to the amount of stretch in this product. Due to the strong elastic in the three wide straps there is plenty of give to adjust the width and accommodate a variety of body shapes and levels of swelling. Hospital provided me with a basic Medline binder, which was elastic all over, with coarse velcro that immediately results in a ratty used look on day 1 of use (see my included images, the first few are this product and the last two are the medline). I like the Pazwean binder better because it is softer, the velcro style isnt as aggressive on the skin if it happens to touch while you are fastening it, and it still looks new after 5weeks of nearly continuous use and launderings (I only wear mine when standing or walking, though i did fall asleep wearing it on once while laying semi reclined. It’s made of a soft breathable cotton and has quality stitching aka smooth stitching that doesn't irritate the skin. ~ Of special note the band is supposed to be worn with the tag facing OUTWARD away from the skin, that kind of threw me for a second as it’s in not in what I consider to be a normal tag location. The velcro on the binder is an interesting grade as its not coarse, I can run my fingers over it and it feels almost smooth but it definitely has grab to it and excellent hold when fastened in place offering SECURE compression that doesnt budge *assuming one has purchased the correct size for themselves. The securing capability is on par with the band provided to me by the hospital. I also felt the Pazwean binder is easier to secure around my body since its not entirely elastic (just the front part) less opportunities for the elastic to accidentally catch on the fabric while you are attempting to get it into place, at least during the first couple weeks when I was at my weakest and experiencing the most pain. It gradually gets easier as pain levels subside and become less frequent. It is helping alleviate my back pain (those are some of the muscles that have been helping me compensate during initial recovery) and made walking more tolerable (first couple weeks a walker also helped me a lot). Support at the surgery site is a MUST, it aids a lot in the recovery process. Liked this band so much I bought two, to alternate between washings. *update only one is really needed as I only ended needing it for about 2 - 2.5 months I chose this brand because of the high ratings and fair price. Happy to report the reviews are accurate! Very happy with it definitely recommend.

The best thing ever for post-op support
I love these binders! I have had mine for 2 years now, and still going strong. (Hand wash and hang dry!) I had major abdominal surgery in 2020 and needed support 24/7 for 8 weeks afterwards. Before surgery, I ordered 3 of these, because hospital binders absolutely suck. I got 1 in pink-just because- and 2 in plain ol' white, to look more "medical" to my skeptical surgeon-lol. I still wear them to this day for back support and to remind me to hold in my tummy! Still super-helpful to relieve pain and support the heaviness i feel when my body is collecting fluid in my belly because of my ongoing health issue. The things I LOVE about these binders: The size tag is on the OUTSIDE. Thank you so very much! Tags make me crazy-itchy!! The thoughtful little pockets on the insides! One in front over the pelvic area, and one in back over the lumbosacral area. They are perfectly sized for slipping those little "instant heat" warmers or 'ice' packs into. What a relief! I kinda wish there was one on the outside front, too, to hold my TENS unit, but you can't have everything... Hooray! Soft and comfy cotton next to your skin! Not itchy or or hot the way that those all-elastic binders are. The velcro doesn't curl or scratch. Doesn't feel bulky. Conforms to your shape- whatever it may be. You can easily adjust it wherever you need it. None of that either "tighter all over" or "looser all over" crap. Doesn't show under clothes- unless they are quite thin and/or tight. The price is right! So- what else do you want? These are the best things I've ever found. The dozens of other binders I have bought and hated went to Charity- hopefully some else can make use of them- because I couldn't. These are the ones for me!

Good belt but could be better
The material is thick and sturdy, the elastic is strong, and the Velcro is very fine that sticks easily and does not scratch is skin. It provides very good support to the stomach however, it is a touch too wide and can be painful to lower ribs if worn for long period of time.

best ever compression binder post abdominal liposuction
The compression binder is adjustable. With the 3 straps, it is easy to fit it to your body shape. Firm compression in one area, no problem. Looser in another area, again no problem. The cotton fabric is very smooth, does not make you hot. I have tried the "waist bands" in the past and they made me sweat. Not this one. It stays where you put it. There are "stays" in the back of the binder, to help with support and to prevent slippage. The straps have velcro at the last 3 inches or so that will adhere to the fabric for fit. Machine wash: I washed it in a mesh/lingerie bag. Dryer or not: I did put it in the dryer for a short time, then line dry. I did buy 2 of these binders. I had to wear a binder for 6 wks 24x7. I switched them out every day. Downside: there is a really weird pocket in the center back. If you wear it according to directions, the pocket will be inside and low back. It makes no sense to me as to why it might be there. Be aware that the binder will add a small amount of extra to your mid-section. It is not really thin like the neoprene waist belts are. It is a couple layers of thick cotton, so it will add just a little to your mid-sction. but when I took it off, it was amazing how much more slender I felt. I am 69, 5'6. I got this for a double post-mastectomy, fat transfer/liposuction.

Very flimsy and the velcro sizing is off. Waste of money.

I sized up after reading the reviews but it still didn't fit me. I was trying to use it during my hysterectomy recovery but by the time my swelling had gone down enough, I didn't need it anymore. It was also tricky to figure out which way around it went, although admittedly I wasn't on my A-game immediately after surgery. I was never able to use it so if you do buy one, size way, way up.

Giving it 3 stars as its too small and there's no option to choose for a bigger size but still bought it hoping it will fits me but unfortunately not. However, the material is good and I like it.

I began to use this product on the 8th day of post tummy tuck/ large hernia repair, panniculectomy and large rectus diastasis separation repair. It was such a relief to put this product on following the hospital provided abdominal binder. This product provided immediate relief to my skin from its soft composition. It also holds properly, with the tri closure, perfectly adjustable velcro straps. The length of this garment is superb, covering my midsection securely. I feel supported and protected without discomfort. The hospital provided garment was, stiff, scratchy and unforgiving during the first 7days. I tolerated it because I was unfamiliar with anything else. After reading the reviews for this product, I decided to give it a try and absolutely have zero regrets. As a matter of fact I would definitely purchase this item again and again. I would also recommend this item to anyone else going through the same surgery I have had. Don't hesitate to purchase this binder. Consult with your Dr, if you would like as well. This is much more affordable than others I have looked at and I am very happy.
