Case Suction Mount

I went without buying this for more than a year because I assumed it just wouldn't fit my Stratux + the battery, and that I'd have to just keep the battery laying around by itself tethered via a long wire. During that time I tried just keeping the Stratux on top of my flight bag in the back seat, which of course isn't ideal. Saw some photos from others that showed it fitting with a battery and finally bought it myself. Sure enough, it works fine with my setup of the Stratux and battery separated by some basic hardware store rubber feet and held together by a velcro strap. I fly the Piper Archer and on every flight I just slap it on the back window. It holds REALLY well. I don't know who these people are that say the suction's weak. In fact, IMO its one big flaw is that it's too hard to get off the window. I'm a flight instructor and my students often try to take it off for me to be nice and they *always* end up just ripping one of the suction cups right out of the mount. It's easy enough to reinsert them but with a setup like I have, you have to unstrap the battery, slide out the Stratux, reinsert the suction cup, then do the same in reverse. It's just kind of annoying to have to do EVERY time. I tell my students to let me take it off the window now, and I've found that the trick to getting it off in one piece is to squeeze each suction cup individually. It is a better problem to have than not enough suction, though. And it's great to be able to just slap the Stratux on a window.

Does what it is supposed to - fits the stratux perfectly and sticks to a window. I have it paired with the velcro strap to also hold a battery pack.

I am lucky enough to have two planes available to fly. Rather than unsticking and resticking the suction mount all the time I got this second mount (same exact mount as the one that came with my Stratux) and just leave one in each plane. It sticks well (so well that it's hard to make it let go to be moved) on flat surfaces but not so well, understandably, on curved surfaces. The closer you can get to flat the better. I found a flat spot in both cases that works well and the two mounts have been in place for months with no sign of losing their grip. Nice product.

Fits ABS case like a glove... suction cups work very well! Wish it were made of a bit thicker material and the cups were a bit more secure.

Decided to build myself a Stratux ADSB and bought this to mount it to my window. Other than the suction cups keep popping out, it works just as intended. Five stars!!

Suction cups that came with it worked good. Ram suction cup added as personal preference. Easier to remove 1 cup than 4. However the four my be better if attaching to curved surface. Have my power pack attached with Velcro. Does not interfere with the holder. Only hole the mount covers is one for an audio jack which is not used.

Constantly falls off.

I've tried a bunch of options to mount my Stratux on the window of my Arrow. Had this in through the summer when the heat unmounted every other solution I have tried. So happy with this.
