About the Artist Hailing from Amsterdam, Yetiland gets his name from the Yeti character that often appears in many of his artworks. Inspired by illustrated stories that his mother used to read to him as a child, YetilandÕs work depicts distinctive cheerful scenes made using digital papercut illustrations, a style he developed during art school. As well as harking back to the childrenÕs books of his childhood, his work often nods to pop culture themes and turn of the century art. Review: the main images are nice and clear and a true representation of the image ... - The print arrived very well packaged, with tissue paper around it and then in a large tube, so there was zero chance of damage. The paper is high quality and I'm sure once it is framed the curve from rolling it in the tube will disappear. The loss of a star is due to an aesthetic point: the main images are nice and clear and a true representation of the image on desertcart but what you can't see clearly in the photo is that there are small smudges, part of the print, which I find detracts from the impact the jagged lines make. Purely a personal opinion from someone who knows nothing about art, so feel free to ignore, but I was unprepared for them as I couldn't make them out on the desertcart photo at first view. Please note, I received this item at a reduced rate in exchange for an honest review. Review: Radiant print - Yetiland's beautiful digital papercut illustration is expertly printed on matt, acid-free archival paper using top quality museum grade inks and the result is a truly remarkable print! The colours burst forth from the image giving it incredible depth and fluidity! I cannot wait to have this professionally framed and will post a photograph of the finished product. The print is sent protected with tissue paper in a cardboard tube. I received this product at a hugely discounted rate in return for my honest and unbiased review.

Japanese inspired? I don't know. Famous artist? I don't know. Looks good on my wall? Absolutely. A nice piece of artwork arrived in a large protective tube. It does fit nicely in a very simple thin black frame of A3 size. I've had a few positive remarks from family and friends as to the increase in my highbrow artistic eye - I'm more of a Batman and Girls Aloud kinda guy... As I received this print for review - I wouldn't normally buy this kind of thing - I have given my honest and open opinion.

Beautiful Artwork!
A very beautiful piece of artwork, which arrived bubble wrapped, and rolled into a tube and then a box for a safe delivery. I have framed the artwork which now takes pride of place on the wall in my hallway. The quality of the materials is absolutely wonderful quality and I am thrilled with it. The colours are wonderfully bright and eyecatching. I have had many positive comments asking where I purchased it from. Great quality print on equally as good paper/card. I received this item in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

nice quality print with a retro illustration style
The artist is influenced by 1960s children's book illustrations and it really shows here in this retro retake of the Japanese classic The Great Wave Off Kanagawa. The blocky style is mixed with more painterly aspects in the background (a dirty mudded sky) and really feels like a picture book from that era, when printing got more complex and richer styles could be used in them. The style reminds me of Kenneth Townsend or Leonard Weisgard, a mix of graphic design and art that melds really well in an illustration style familiar to any children's book enthusiast. The sea is very like a paper collage technique you can see in very hungry caterpillar and is warm and fresh at the same time. The addition of a cherry tree brings a pop of bright colour to an otherwise subtle picture. As for the print, it is nice quality paper and museum grade ink, so it shouldn't fade. it arrived nicely packaged and with a paper protection layer to stop it getting damaged. It does have a blank edge but I bought a frame for it that includes a mount so there would be extra white between the picture and the frame. It does look classy and calming and I have it on the wall next to my bed currently. Thanks for reading, I received this at a discount in return for an honest review.
