Bad suction cup material choice renders the whole thing useless
Plastic the suction cup made of is too soft and weak - the whole cup separates from its base in no time. The rest is made quite well, though.

A strong stable mount suitable for heavy Garmin Devices
The problem with most Garmin suction cup mounts is that they just don't last. Now, of course there's no way I can know that this one will do any better...; but it's footprint is larger and it makes a strong stable mount for my GPS. Time will tell.

I love that it has stayed in place even with the high heat and humidity! I placed it on my windshield and it allows me perfect sight to see my Garmin directions. Very happy with this product's ease to get the perfect position to see and drive.

Completely disintegrated in 12 hours. I am not kidding. I mounted it to my dash at 7am this morning, came out to my car at 7pm and found the suction mount had ripped away from main body - rendering it useless. I would return the item but the time and fuel it would take to send it back exceeds the value of the item in question. It really adds a high-tech vibe to my rubbish bin, though.

If you're looking for a a succion cup that sticks to a texturized surface like the dashboard of a car, go for this one. I finally found the one that does the job for my GPS for me to have a look at it from the height I want. As for the sturdiness, not the best not the worst. If it last 1 year, will have been a bargain.
