SAFTRON SF-24 Lift & Turn Single-Post Spa Support Rail with Lift & Turn Base for In-ground Spas and Partially Submerged Spas (White)

Not sure what the deal is on some of the negative reviews - probably buyers who didn't bother to understand what they needed. Yes, this is a plastic handrail and base but it is VERY thick and strong. It is a smaller handrail ideal for small pools and especially SPAs. If you have a great big pool then don't buy it. We installed it on our SPA as the last step out is very high and you need something to steady yourself on. It is the perfect size for that, plus it's smaller profile is less intrusive looking. Also, we live in SW Florida where even the best stainless steel can rust - not a problem with this handrail. Yes, the plastic anchors are crap. You will need the expanding lead anchors - cost less than $2. It was very easy to install. You will need a hammer drill and the three lead anchors. Bottom line: know what you need and want. This, for us, has been an OUTSANDING, high quality product for the money.

We don't have a spa but wanted something to help steady us when getting in/out of our pool (we're getting older). Install was relatively easy by using a hammer drill to drill three holes in our Travertine deck. I made sure to drill deep enough (2.5 inches) so that the anchor screws went into concrete underneath the tile. I did not use the supplied screws. Rather purchased Tapcon screws 5/16 x 2.5. Also, there are two set screws already mounted into the base that can be tightened to prevent the rail from lifting/turning. The lift & turn feature wasn't needed in our application. Good and solid. Has just a tiny little bit of movement due to the nature of the rail and mounting base, but it's barely noticeable and still feels very sturdy.

We needed a railing to enter our in-ground spa for safety reasons. The Saftron looked to be exactly what we wanted. It claimed to have installation instructions, the bolts to anchor the base in the concrete and it was adjustable to 180 degrees. There were no installation instructions either in the package or online. My handyman had to buy new and larger bolts to secure the base. The railing lifts out and can be fitted into the base in one of two opposite directions (180 degrees). I don't understand the purpose of the two directions because only one direction will have the railing facing the spa. We like the fact that the railing can separate from the base when not in use, but because it's supposed to be secured in the base with allen screws it may not be safe to make it portable. All in all, it works fine and we're happy with it.

Works great for outside hot tub and so far is holding up to Florida weather. Before this one I had order a stainless steel one and it was rusting in a weeks time before I even got in hot tub to use it just from being outside. So if you’re in Florida or a climate similar do yourself a favor and get this brand.

High quality product and easy to install. Just need a hammer drill and socket wrench. All plastic so don’t have to worry about grounding. Took about 20 minutes to install

At first I was very reluctant to do the install, for fear of damaging the concrete pool deck. I read all of the user reviews and various folks' attempts at improving on the maker's provided hardware. After downloading and studying the detailed instructions; not the ones that come in the box with the handrail, I inserted the handrail into the base and held it in position where one would most likely need it upon stepping into the pool; while carefully penciling the bolt hole positions for the surface mount base. I then followed the instructions to the letter, taking great time in very slowly drilling 2-1/2-inch bolt holes, starting with a small bit and working up; then setting in the provided plastic anchors and finally bolting down the base with the provided marine-grade stainless steel screws with a 1/2-inch socket wrench, before re-inserting the handrail and tightening the allen-head screws. I wound up with a perfect install; wife and I both very happy with this sturdy and attractive handrail!

Were using this for our hot tub, we ordered two, they work great, easy to install, we actually put bolts right through the deck for added Safety

Delivery was very fast and the handrail is exactly as described. Haven't installed it yet.

This came sooner than expected. Simple to assemble (as soon as I figured out I needed an allen key to tighten the handrail). Perfect for our hot tub.
