Carhartt Classic Adjustable Sling Bag, Durable, 600-Denier Water Resistant Hip Pack

Bought this for my son and he absolutely loves it — so much so that he's already ordered it twice! That says it all really. He uses it daily for his construction business and it holds up perfectly. Fits everything he needs on the job — phone, wallet, keys, small tools and essentials — without feeling bulky or getting in the way while he works. The adjustable strap is a game changer — fits perfectly whether worn across the chest or on the back. Really easy to adjust on the go too. The tan color is such a great neutral — goes with everything and suits his style perfectly. Looks clean and put together without trying too hard. The quality feels really solid. Zippers are smooth, the material feels durable and the stitching looks well made. Tough enough to handle a hardworking man's daily grind! If you're looking for a reliable, no fuss bag that's practical and built to last — this is it. My son swears by it!

Honestly didn't expect to fall this hard for a $25 bag. Bought it with a European vacation in mind but it's been on my hip every single day since it arrived — phone, doggie bags, a ball for fetch, you name it. This thing just works. Size is perfect for me. Not too bulky, not too small. Fits my iPhone 17 Pro no problem and still has room for everything else I need on a walk. Can't speak to full travel EDC yet since the trip is still coming up, but based on how it handles daily life I'm not worried at all. The fabric is worth mentioning — it's not the exact same canvas-heavy material you'd expect from typical Carhartt gear, but honestly that's the right call for a hip pack. It's lighter and more appropriate for what this bag is trying to be. Still feels well made and durable. If I'm nitpicking, a little padding or one extra pocket would push this to perfect. But at $33 I'm really not complaining. Carhartt knocked this one out of the park. Europe trip report to follow.

I am very happy with this sling bag/hip pack. It is very high quality. The zippers work smoothly. The belt is easy to adjust and has elastic keepers to hold the folded slack. The compartments seem well thought out. This hip pack is slightly larger than those offered by most outfitters, which is a distinct advantage, without being one of those too-oversized bags from other outfitters. So it has about 25% more useful room than most hip packs, without being five times bigger, bulkier and heavier like so many so-called hip packs. I have hiked though greenbriar patches a couple dozen times wearing this as a waist bag. The heavy-duty nylon bag sustained no damage from stiff thorns (though the elastic belt sustained just one minor pull).

Love this thing. So many pockets. Durable and well built. I use it for hikes all the time and now that I have a baby I use it on our walls to keep the keys and things I need close while not having to worry about adding a nother bag to the bottom of the stroller. It's also my go to so comfortable when I'm going on multi-mile runs! Love the bright color because I'm a single mom and it helps me never loose it and the things we need. Simple and fabulous. Literally a life saver.

So as part of the ongoing saga to find the best waist pack, I purchased this one from Carhartt. The quality overall you really can’t beat it. Carhartt does make very good products. The construction on this bag is wonderful. The zippers work flawlessly and there are just the right amount of compartments. You don’t get a ton of organization however as It’s just the main compartment the front smaller zipper, and then one other little spot. But this bag holds a lot of stuff. I managed to hold an iPhone 16 Pro Max, my keys, my wallet, my multitool, my flashlight, tissues, small first aid kit, and several other items in this bag with no problems, and I still had room in there if I needed to cram in a few extras. I really like having the Grab handle on top of the bag as it gives you another option to carry it without just having to use the waist strap. I bought this to use as a waist back and conceivably you could wear it as a Crossbody, but the strap is somewhat shorter than other brands that I have tried and may not be what you’re looking for in terms of length for a Crossbody as it tends to sit quite high on the chest. Now the strap is a wide strap which I really appreciate as the ones with the narrow straps tend to sag more and just don’t provide enough support. The buckle clip is strong and durable and I appreciate the fact that I can adjust the belt from both sides, which makes on the go adjustments very easy. I ended up deciding to alternate between this and one other bag depending on the circumstance and what I’m doing most of the time is to use this bag throughout the week, more as a work bag and I use the other bag as my off work bag. So far it is held up quite well. I did manage to get it a little wet it wasn’t a big deal. While it’s not waterproof it did keep the water from getting to the internal items. Now I wouldn’t go throw this in the ocean, but it should hold up to just normal every day exposure to liquids. The only thing that would be nice, Is if the interior were a different color. I know a lot of different bad companies now do that and it’s great when it’s executed well because it does make locating items much easier. Sometimes I do have to use my little mini flashlight to be able to see where things have shifted in the bag but overall if you need a durable well-made, higher capacity bag that isn’t gonna stick out 6 inches from your waist, I would definitely recommend this one. Carhartt is known for the quality and in this case they definitely delivered

Perrrrrrfect!! Not too big. Not too small. Has great sized compartments that are easily accessible. Very comfortable for my crossbody wearing and not intrusive during movement. Would love to see Carhart rid the buckle to scale its appearance down and do a combo adjustment with a 3 snazzy snap or Velcro. Maybe even a “buckle” style with adjustable holes for length modifications. The plastic buckle just seems cheap on a great design. I like the “handle” ~ a nice touch for picking up your bag.

So much room! Absolutely love to carry this with me. For walking, short trips, etc. it’s nice and adjustable! Stays in place! And very versatile! Pretty color, I wanna order the black one next.

I picked up the grey Carhartt Essentials Bag recently, and it’s quickly become my go-to for everyday carry. The build quality is classic Carhartt—tough, weather-resistant, and surprisingly roomy for its compact size. It’s got multiple compartments that make it easy to keep things organised, whether I’m out on a walk or heading to work. The grey colour is understated but stylish, and it pairs well with pretty much anything. My only gripe is that the front pocket’s a bit snug for larger items, but for keys, cards, and bits and bobs, it’s spot on. All in all, it’s a sturdy, no-nonsense bag that does the job well.

Es una excelente cangurera. Tiene bastante espacio y bolsas por lo que es una gran opción para llevar un poco más de lo básico. Vi los comentarios que decían que la correa era muy corta pero está cangurera la usa alguien que mide 1.80 y me queda muy bien, aunque quizá si eres una persona con sobrepeso y obesidad sí te quede corta la correa.

I bought it on Eid sale so i cant complain about the price. Great material quality, its smaller than what seema to be in pictures but i dont mind (bigger fanny packs make you look like a vegestable vendor). My only complain is the middle pack where youre supposed to put your phone - plus size phones (IP 16PM) dont fit.

Love this, very durable and has the right amount of pockets. Not too big, not too small, easy to wash.
