My 50 inch projection TV had stopped working properly. I read the TV instructions and identified that it might need a new lamp. My wife suggested buying a new TV because new lamps would be expensive. I checked out the lamp on Amazon and reckoned it was cheap enough to take a risk - cheaper than a new TV and cheaper than a TV repair man for 1 hour. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. I installed it easily and it has worked perfectly for several weeks now - so very unlikely to fail. The last lamp lasted about 8 years... so it'll be a new TV next time! It has saved me from buying a new TV. That's what I call a result.

Recently purchased this product however didn't resolve my picture problem with blue and green splashes across the tv screen, and then diagnosed there must be another fault with the unit. Good value compared to previous purchase from abroad, and would recommend to anyone who had replacement lamp problems

After 8 years of enjoying my Sony TV, the projector lamp gave out. It was mentioned these lamps last up to eight years - it was right on the money. I began searching for a suitable replacement. I discovered this candidate and went for it. Installation was a breeze and I haven't had any problems since. I got this lamp about 18 months ago.

Arrived on time. Very easy to install. Very easy to send back and did so after 1 hour of great picture quality. Bulb blew. Cheap generic.

when i got it baulb did not work, i e-mailed you and said so housing was fine but bulb did not work, said i want just the bulb, but still waiting on reply, why should i have to keep on at them to reply, but no one has responded, all i wanted was another bulb ,i am still waiting to hear ????????

I am happy that it was just a change of lamp needed, as I was duly worried it may have been something that had caused my 50 inch Sony HD Bravia to not display any picture or sound at all. Having gently hoovered out the dust and blow out the ventilated panel on side of TV, I applied rubber gloves before handling the lamp and had also found a link on youtube that really helped me to understand what i needed to do in changing the lamp. Brilliant all done, TV's operable again....only slight problem but minor, is a streak that runs through the picture on screen. I hope this will fade over time. Sony customer services were very unhelpful, especially as I had no warranty as it has expired...they could even advise me or provide suggestions....be mindful of this if a problem occurs with your Bravia TV...

This says what it does on the tin. My Sony projector TV needed a replacement lamp so I ordered this one. Popped it in and voila TV picture very good quality avoided the cost of a £2000 TV. Thank you very much.
