To those that were disappointed with this product, I feel your expectations might be a little unrealistic. I bought this because I am a slackliner and needed a louder music solution when we started rigging longer lines and using more space at the park. This product not only solved the problem, but exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Especially with the new discounted price, I don't know why I stalled on this purchase. I should have bought one years ago. Not only does this solve my park problem, but I keep finding new uses for it and it has re-invigorated my enjoyment of music. Pros: 1. Loud enough to fill almost any space indoor or outdoor. 2. I thought this was intended strictly for outdoor use and would therefore sound terrible indoors. I was very wrong. It's not exactly audiophile quality, but it has an indoor setting and it performs far beyond my expectations. At high volume it shakes the wood floors in my house without distorting the mids and highs, which seem far more clear and balanced than I would have ever imagined. Surprisingly, it also performs quite nicely at low volume, creating a very full and rich sound that isn't overpowered by the bass. It's even clear enough for listening to podcasts without needing an EQ. 3. Battery life that seems to defy the laws of nature. With my first charge of the device, the battery lasted nearly 5 days of blasting it at full volume for hours on end. I don't even know how that's possible. Also, it'll charge to full capacity in less than two hours when plugged into AC power, and that's with it still on and pumping. 4. Bluetooth software is flawless. So often with these bluetooth devices there is wonky behavior or difficulty connecting occasionally, or certain devices not being able to connect while others seem to have no problem. This thing just works instantly, every time, from any device. No waiting, no frustration, select SOUNDBOKS and you're in business. 5. Speaker does not shut itself off to save power. That might seem like a con if you have no experience with the device, but with the nearly unlimited power this thing provides, it's not so much of a concern. This is great because you don't have to mess with the machine after taking a break. Stop the music when you want, then start back again at any time without any lag time. When you want it off, for real, you manually turn the switch off. I love it. Great design. 6. Lightweight. Considering the size of the unit, the quality of construction, and the volume of sound it can create this product again seems to defy the laws of nature. It is somewhat awkward to carry, but only due to it's size. It's easily lifted and carried with one hand. It weighs about half of what you'd expect from looking at the thing. Cons: 1. The Soundboks app is not compatible with this model, only with the new model. That is a bummer, but honestly I don't often have a use for that. I'd use it if I had the option, but for the discounted price I'm not going to cry about this one. It's an issue, but a minor one. 2. Fair warning, you may have ol' Karen go balistic and chase you away from your girlfriend's pool citing neighborhood CCNRs and threatening to call the police, but you'll be proud of what you did and most of the other people at the pool will see you as a martyr of summertime leisure. 3. Nothing else.

Alright I took a little bit in order to write a review so that I really have this a try. It is definitely a very awesome speaker that is for sure. For the price I'm glad I wasn't very disappointed. It's extremely loud that's for sure. When I first got out I gave a try with it in my neighborhood at my house to see how it sounded and got met by some upset neighbors and the cops being called on the account it was to loud. It's a very different kind of loud. Like you could stand by the speaker with it at max volume and doesn't seem that loud but the sound carries very well. I've noticed that you can make it louder and sound a little better if you use like a equalizer on your phone. It's crystal clear when the music is turned all the way up and won't have a problem with a loud abnoxious sound. Doesn't have as much bass as I would have thought. The blue tooth is a little weak you don't want to get your phone very far from it or it will start cutting out. I mean all of like 25 ft away. The battery lasts insanely long. I bought the extra one and didn't even make it thru half way on the original one. I used it for 5 days recently at a festival camping and didn't have an issue with it at all. Battery lasted perfectly. Sounds amazing and makes people come over and check it out. Your really not going to use it as much as you think at full volume. Unless you're throwing a party. Very heavy built, handled the sun and heat, and the weather elements very well. Is it something you need. Probably not. I wouldn't buy another one again but when you use this thing it meets my expectations. I'll be using it at festivals when I camp just so I can have some loud clear music for everyone and since I don't have to worry about the thing dying. I only do primitive camping so no way to have any electricity. Very cool speaker tho and definitely fun to use. You'll over power anyone else's music so make sure everyone around you likes your songs haha. Thanks

Well, this is quite a step up from a JBL extreme 2 --- which sounded great, but really lacked the volume - but what do you expect from a much, much smaller speaker. I researched Soundboks - and it seemed like this battery powered speaker was the consensus of most sound enthusiasts ! I was looking for powered and BATTERY powered and this fit the bill. I just received it and I was completely amazed by the quality and sound it demonstrated. After charging the battery up to 5 non-flashing bars, I assume it was ready to go...the instructions say the battery turns green after a full charge but mine didn't. Regardless, I played it off the battery for a little bit and then connected it to the powered cord. You can even do both so you can play in powered mode WHILE charging the battery....It's pretty slick. The sound was incredible. I listened to many youtube testimonials and it seemed to me that I liked the stronger bass sound of the 2 than the newest Soundboks 3 - plus, it was "much" cheaper...and I use "much cheaper" very figuratively. This thing wasn't cheap. $699 off of Amazon. My wife and friends were a little shocked by the cost, but if you compare it to a smart phone or a photographic lens, quality comes at a price. I didn't feel a bit over charged after seeing, and trying this speaker. It connects flawlessly to bluetooth or you can use the supplied aux port to couple to another music device. It also has the ability to receive a 1/8" jack to use a wireless microphone to talk through for karaoke or using as a PA system. Like I said, the sound is awesome. Even though it lacks any built-in EQ control, you can do that through your phone's adjustable EQ presets to fine tune it. I find it great right out of the box. The bass is nice - and from the testimonials online - it seemed a little "muffled" with the higher bias tones compared to the Soundboks 3 - which in my opinion, seems to high bias and lacked bass. When I received it, it was far from muffled sounding - and seemed like a perfect combo of bass, mids and treble. Customer service is pretty decent, but there is nobody to answer the phone any longer because of the whole Covid-19 outbreak. You can send an email but they are not real quick to answer probably because of people being at home. When they do answer, they seem pretty helpful and nice. Now the portability of this thing is not the best - if you were expecting a smaller speaker, forget it. It's a pretty large speaker - but not overly large. It's about the size that you would find at most weddings that are up on stand poles. Of course, you have to have some size to get the power this thing puts out. I'm very happy with the purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. It looks like it may fit in the back of my Nissan 370Z side ways, so I like that ! I bought this for the boat, because I couldn't hear the other JBL extreme over the motor...this one won't be an issue, but I haven't water tested it yet so my opinion on this isn't confirmed yet.

Build quality is really good. Feels like it's worth the $900 price tag. I have a Sony GTK XB90 and that feels cheap. Battery life is pretty good. I blasted it on Indoor mode all day (12 hours) and still had 1.5 ~ 2 bars left. I haven't tried it on Outdoor mode yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll get decent hours out of it too. Who is this speaker for? Guys like me who just want to shut down everyone else at the park that has dinky little speakers. I've done it a few times already since I got this beast. Do I feel bad for doing it? NO! If they don't have a DiamondBoxx or amplified speakers, nothing can compare. Get your JBL Boombox, Aiwa Exos-9, Costco Ion speakers outta here. Audio is loud and clear on max. This thing gets loud. I like the bass too. Some people complain about it not having enough bass, but it sounds pretty good to me. If you're listening on Outdoor mode inside, you can really hear the bass thumping. Inside mode has the right amount of thump. I have hooked up a wireless mic to the speaker. It sounds OK, but not that good because you really need a mixer. I wouldn't recommend it for karaoke if you don't run the music and mic through a mixer. That is probably the only downfall of this speaker. I like that I can put this on a PA speaker stand. I don't mind that it's Mono. Most loud music is Mono anyways, like when you're at a karaoke bar. Wishlist for Soundboks 3 - dedicated MIC input (with gain) - audio out, so we don't have to use a spliter to link other speakers - a top handle. when carrying it with one hand, it feels akward. Even if they moved the side handles down so they're centered would be a huge improvement. - an EQ, but that might be asking too much I had a Bumpboxx V3 right before I got the SoundBoks. I loved all the versatile inputs and features it had. I returned it because it was cheaply built. Of course, the King of portable bluetooth speakers right now has got to be the Diamondboxx XL2, but I can't justify spending twice as much for a speaker that is just slightly better in my opinion. TIP: Put this thing in the back of your car. Have it blasting before you take it out of the car (works best in SUV). Man, you're either gonna look dope asf or douchey, but who cares. That's how people are gonna know the life of the party (or park) has arrived.

Pros: • Lighter than I expected it to be. • Extremely loud and clear. • Battery life is astoundingly amazing! • Input availability are various and work well. • Durabilty is exceptional. • Secure Bluetooth with no one being able to kick you off. Once you’re locked in and playing, it becomes invisible. There is no memory or auto connect. You manually connect which is nice in this case. You don’t want to turn on your Bluetooth and it auto connect to something you don’t want and repeatedly have to try to work a way around it. Cons: • If you look at the details of the assembly, mine had the screws assembled misaligned. • The battery I received was faulty, but still functional. There was a rattling noise as if there were loose pieces inside. I contacted customer service and they replaced my battery quickly. They responded with the highest level of professionalism and friendliness. It took about two weeks for me to receive a replacement battery after inspection. • The Bluetooth 3.0 is extremely limited by distance at 10-15 feet. That is WITH a line of sight. • The static/hiss is common in a lot of speakers, but for some reason it is very loud in mine. • Bass levels start to peak out at higher volumes. • At max volume the audio losses it’s clearity. Overall: • Such an amazing speaker! I love music and I love having something like this being portable. Not relying on an external power supply is such a plus. I definitely received 80 hours of playback at mid level volume. It lasted me all weekend. It sounds great at level 8-9. After that it becomes slightly distorted. To an audiophile you definitely notice it. To a common person who wants to rock and roll, you’ll never notice it. You’ll only notice the impressive sound this thing is outputting. There are a lot of areas they can improve on. Quality Control would be one of them. If you’re hesitant on pulling the trigger on this purchase, don’t. I waited two months and watched YouTube videos and read reviews. If you don’t have a sound system in your car, all you need is this! With the right set up you can get the best sound for your car if you’re on a budget.

Absolutely beast of a speaker. Plays up to 122 dB, with strong bass and clear highs even at full volume. The 40-hour battery life is impressive at moderate levels, though at max volume it drains much faster. Its build is rugged — splash proof, metal corners, solid frame — great for outdoor/party use. Downsides: heavy (33 lbs) to move around, and at extreme volume the treble can get a bit piercing. Bluetooth connections making experience great!

Well I recently purchased a this soundboks and I made sure to test it about two weeks before my review. So after a few weeks I can honestly say that this bluetooth speaker is not bad at all. I have not used I anywhere except the backseat of my truck and it checks all the boxes except one. First off it's loud. I still haven't had it to 11 which is full blast and had my phone also to max volume because I worried it may blow a speaker so to speak but also because I really haven't had to, I set the soundboks volume to about 9 and have my phone to almost max volume and trust me it is plenty loud. Seriously. Next it sound quality which is why I spent $700. And I will say that it sounds good. It really does. What I like most about it's sound is that you can clearly hear the bass separate from the rest of the song if that makes sense. The base definitely doesn't share a speaker with the rest of the song. Which is great. Now the battery life, and yes I have read that some people were saying that the battery does not last long but mine has and I was very surprised to see that after about a week of using the speaker everytime I drive which is quite a bit that I only used one bar. All I did was follow the directions about charging the battery when you first receive it before you use the speaker. Ok now the one issue which is minor to me but for others may not be so Minor and that is the distance the bluetooth will stay connected. It didn't seem to be very far. I walked away from my truck about ten feet and it was done. So that could be a big deal for some users. But in my case I am very satisfied with the speaker. Thank you soundboks.

After owning so many bluetooth speakers and having issues with everyone I decided to just cut through the crap and just spend the money for quality. Most of my speakers ex. JBL stopped working after a year and most won't play in the desert heat. This one is the deal. It can take the heat, cold, abuse and it is loud and a good frequency response will little to no THD(distortion) at high levels. The frequency response is a little on the flat side but after downloading a free equalizer program for android the thing is PERFECT! It just needs a little help in that area. LITTLE. This is club quality sound and portable. The battery being swappable makes the most sense being that the built in batteries go bad after a few years then you have to throw the speaker away. This one you don't. It should last many many years. GREAT JOB SOUNDBOX! Just break down and buy this. It's all you'll ever need. Excelente sonido, cristalino y armónico. Sin distorsión en alto volumen y escandalosamente Potente. El test de graves empieza a dar señales de vida a los 32Hz. Tampoco se echan en falta ni medios ni agudos, el twiter es mas que suficiente. El bluetooth 3.0 que incorpora es genial por el rango de frecuencias que recibe y así lo asumen los altavoces. Si además le envías el sonido de un Hi-Res como Fiio la satisfacción es completa. La batería fantastica, tienes como 48h seguidas con el 50% del volumen y no he podido probar cuanto dura al 100% porque vendría la poli. La carga total en unas 3:30h. Por poner algún pero... la clavija hembra jack 3.5mm no está a la altura de la calidad general, estaría mejor con un jack 6.3mm. 06.06.2020 - Un año después debo añadir esta nueva reseña. Los primeros meses, genial, pero a partir del mes noveno, la potencia de sonido ha ido bajando y bajando.... tanto con batería como conectado a red elect. Ya no son lo 122dB de sonido, a maximo volumen ha bajado un 75%.... pero no la calidad, solo el Volumen de sonido. La bateria sigue manteniendose bien. El uso que le he dado han sido sesiones de 10h a 20h los fines de semana. Supongo que después de un año ya no hay garantía.

Habe diese Box bereits im August auf einem Festival gesehen und war sofort begeistert. Für die richtige Musik ist diese Box ausgezeichnet und erfüllt mehr als ihren Zweck. Sie ist insbesondere dann das richtige wenn man z.B. Akkubetrieben ohne großes Setup Musik hören will. Box einschalten, mit dem Handy verbinden und laute Musik überall mit akzeptabler Qualität (z.B. eben Festival) hören möchte. Natürlich hat die Box auch ihre Schwächen bzw. Optimierungspotenzial wie z.B. die wenigen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, ein USB Port zum Handy laden wäre ganz schön, oder auch dass sie bei Höhen eher nicht so richtig glänzt. Dies ist aber wohl auch unter anderem Bauart bedingt. Mir war dies jedoch vorher klar und den Zweck für den sie gekauft worden ist, erfüllt sie zu 100 Prozent daher 5 Sterne!

Bit on the pricey side but this thing has been everywhere with me. It's been to house parties, garden parties, parks and everytime fills the area with music. I've even run a local event just using this for the audio and everyone was amazed. Bluetooth range is limited to 30ft. I've only charged the battery 2 times since I've had it and it's been to 10 different parties. Please note there is a new version of this out now with upgraded Bluetooth and wireless linking for multiple units.
