Omg what can I say?! I was so skeptical. This thing WORKS!
I know how helpful pictures are for believability, so I’ll attach one! Don’t judge me, I had no idea what these were for the first couples of weeks. So yes they overran my house for a bit. But that is no longer! We are now free from the clutches of these nasty little 💩’s. I recently moved to Florida, and never in my life had I experienced so many (what I thought were gnats - I’m still unsure what the hell they actually are 😂). For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where the swarms of these pesky little things were coming from. I am originally from up north, where the only things that resemble them that we get are fruit flies. I couldn’t figure out why they were everywhere when none of my fruit was rotten or even remotely bad. Until I did some googling and found out these little demons are called Drain Flies. They live and breed in your drain, lay eggs and come out in SWARMS. I tried every remedy to kill them off. I cleaned my drains, I poured all kinds of chemicals down there. I googled every which way to kill their eggs, catch them. Tried the whole apple cider vinegar, water and soap trick. Where the apple cider vinegar is supposed to attract them, and the surface tension of the soap is supposed to get them stuck and they sink into the water below….noooope! Nothing worked. I’d still see them flying all over the place in my peripheral vision, and to top it off I now had a nasty little vinegar cup hidden in my corner smelling like dooky. I, like every other rational person, ran to Amazon for a solution. And I found LOTS of them. My first go to was going to be that light and fan thing, where the light attracts them and the fan supposedly sucks them in to their demise. I really didn’t care which one I purchased, as long as it worked. I saw the reviews and pictures of this one and figured I’d give it a go, and if this one didn’t work, I’d try the other one I mentioned. Day 1, the first few hours, it caught absolutely nothing. And I thought “greaaat. This thing isn’t going to catch anything and I’m gong to have to deal with this pests for another few days while I wait on another order” Day 2. I woke up, not expecting to find anything, and lo and behold, there were 10-15 flies on it. My prayers had been answered! Day 3. Not going to lie, I forgot I had it plugged in Day 4. I checked again, and this is what I found. The picture attached. Absolutely gross 🤢. Don’t ask, I have no idea how all these nasty little creatures lived in my sink without my knowledge. I must just be that blissfully unaware. I thought I only had a few…clearly I was wrong I’m on like Day 10 now. I waited awhile because I wanted to make sure it continued to work before posting this review. I haven’t seen another fly / gnat besides in the trap, since Day 4, nearly a week ago. Not one. However, the trap is still lit up, and still as sticky as it was on day 1. There is a faint blue glow, it’s a pretty pleasant. It’s just like a night light. It makes 0 noise whatsoever. It’s SO easy to remove and replace the sticky pad. You pull the stick piece up out of the part that attaches into the wall, and slide a new one in. So simple, yet so effective. If you’ve had these nasty little critters flying around your home for far too long now, try it. You won’t regret it. If it doesn’t work in the first spot you put it, move it around. These things supposedly come out of the drains, yet for some reason it catches far more in my bedroom outside the bathroom. So find what works for you. Also, it turns sideways if need be. So if you have a sideways plug, you can still plug it in and swivel it so it’s face up! I hope this review helps some of you choose this, and rid your life of these nasty little buggers!!

It you are on the fence when it comes to getting one, just get it.
I have been on the fence for years, when it came to buying this. It was a lot of money, and the risk was high, that it would turn out to be another thing, that just did not work. We moved to a new apartment a year ago, and not only is is small, but there are a lot of bugs outside that rush in, the moment our door opens(it creates almost a vacuum that sucks them in). We have had gnats, mosquitos and other flying little bugs buzzing around in our small space, driving us nuts! It has gotten so bad, that I decided to take the chance. We ordered the device, and it arrived the same day. I went to use it immediately. At first it caught a couple, and I thought "thats great", better than the other bug traps I bought or the homemade vinegar traps. It was most effective at night, when I turned off all of the lights, and let this gadget do it's thing. The first night we caught a total of 36 bugs in our apartment🤯! We had no idea we had that much in there. We had two going, one in the living room, one in the bathroom. I would recommend this product, it might not get all the bugs, but it gets enough to make a difference. Well worth the money. It is sticky, I don't think a fly would get trapped, the gnats barely stick. It fits great in the socket, it has a slight odor, nothing too terrible. Lighting is not too bright, you can easily fall asleep with it next to your bed. I would say as far as reusability, they should be able to reuse for a few times at least.

It's a breast!!!
It hasn't been in that long and is full of pests! I had little hope. The price is high for me but effectiveness is stellar! The little blue light doesn't bother in any way. It is "rechargeable" in that you plug it in to eork! Haha. Then I unplug it to pull out the used strip and put in the new one. It is obviously very sticky. What goes in stays in. Easiest way ever to remove flying pests hassle free. Durability seems good at this point. I sill update if I change my mind. Buy at least one. I am not paid or anything for ghis review. I just really appreciate ig.

Works great but a slight problem
Works but it’s less effective than an electric zapper, but it is much cleaner and obviously silent unlike a zapper. Great for homes in the south with lots of bugs who fly in the second you open a door. Only criticism is it takes bugs longer to get caught.

Fruit fly killer.
If you keep fresh fruit, you are going to have fruit flies. If you open the door during the summer, you are going to get other flying bugs inside. This thing gets rid of them quick. The bugs can't resist the light at night. Once they land in the trap, they are done. I threw the bug swatter away. The unit is holding up well after several months. The trap is steady in the plug socket. You can't see the bugs, unless you unplug the unit or pull out the replacement sticky portion. There is no odor.

Fast, Easy, and Effective!
I had my doubts about this at first, but after a few days next to my kitchen sink, it really kicked in. Mine looks a lot like the photos you see in other reviews, so it definitely speaks for itself. It even doubles as a night light! I wasn’t having infestation levels of bugs, but it was frequent enough to be annoying, and this trap caught a good chunk of them before I could even see them. It will attract anything that flies, big or small. Will be purchasing another for my bathroom. Also, for the ones it doesn’t catch, Febreze is an excellent way to ground the little buggers and kill them.

Works Better With a Little Help
I've been dealing with a fruit fly problem and figured the blue and UV light combo would be enough on its own to draw them in. The device itself is well-designed, mess-free to use, and genuinely easy to set up. But after several days in various spots around the kitchen, the catch count was pretty underwhelming. Maybe a dozen or so flies total, nowhere near the results the product positioning suggests. What changed things slightly: I tucked a small piece of squeezed orange and some orange peel near the base of the trap. After that, I started seeing more flies on the adhesive. Not a dramatic turnaround, but a noticeable uptick. So the light alone may not be compelling enough for fruit flies specifically. Gnats and smaller insects might respond better to just the light. Placement also seems to matter more than the listing implies. I tried outlets at lower heights near the floor and near countertop level, and neither produced impressive results. Some other reviewers have noted it works better at night with ambient lights off, which tracks with how light-based attractants work, but that's a pretty narrow window of effectiveness if you're hoping for 24/7 catch rates as advertised. The build quality and the adhesive cartridge system are genuinely good. Disposal is clean and easy, and the blue glow is subtle enough that it doesn't bother you at night. If you're fighting gnats or drain flies, this might work well for you. For fruit flies specifically, don't rely on the light alone.

No flies on trap
I am only giving this 4 stars because it is supposed to catch flies but it has not caught any flies. It has however caught a lot of gnats! So it's great fro gnat control, just not so much for house fly control in my opinion.

Leave it at night near the kitchen/bin and it works.
I switched off lights and left it on during the night, next day it captured most of Gnats that were annoying. I did not expect that number of gnats. First night catched 11. *For Arab and Gulf countries, you need an adapter as the switch is an American switch. No need to change the voltage to 220v.

Not compatible with UAE plugs and average effectiveness
Product not compatible with UAE plugs you need an adapter. Only a couple of flies were caught but plenty are flying around.
