Which really helps bring out the flavor profile of the coffee if you're using a French Press (coarse grind is best!).It's easy to clean, easy to take apart, easy to use...I can't say enough good things about this manual coffee grinder. Looks good on the counter. Feels well built and well machined, no burrs, parts fit together well and operate smoothly. You can fit around 24g of whole coffee beans in the grinder. I would definitely recommend this product to others if you dont want to spend $150+ on an electric coffee grinder

I purchased this grinder to pair with my Aeropress for a trip abroad and am very pleased with it. The last hand grinder I used was a Hario ceramic coffee mill back in 2020 before upgrading to a Baratza Encore. I must say that I am blown away at how quickly and smoothly the Chestnut grinds. 20g of beans are easily ground in under 1 minute. The textured outer surface and anti-slip silicone base are nice touches. Additionally, the grinder has a satisfying heft to it, being constructed almost entirely of metal. My initial impression of the grind quality is that it’s on-par with my Baratza. I currently use a setting/“click” of 11 and a 1 minute extraction time for a balanced result with the aeropress. The price was a bit more than I was interested in paying originally, but I am satisfied with the decision and feel that it’s worth the money.

I’ve been using this daily for over a year now. Well built. Very satisfying feel to it when grinding. The coarseness adjustment is simple and effective. Upgraded my coffee game with freshly ground every morning.

Excellent precision grinder. It really makes a great cup of coffee, I use it with a chemex pour over and would recommend it to anyone who really enjoys coffee. I really didn't realize how much flavor i was missing out. For construction i would say very well done, all grinding surface and moving parts are stainless and precision. Cleaning, for me it is easy to disassemble (4 main parts, couple of washers) and brush off. The grind adjustment is very simple, well marked and crazy accurate, grind time for me is about 2 minutes of easy turning for 30 grams of perfect fresh grind. One note: Keep fingers away from the handle hinge, it is spring loaded and engages very quickly whether you finger is there or not.

I really like this grinder. Easy to use, perfect for grinding enough beans for one cup of coffee, well made and silent! Only issue I have is that the handle makes it tip over sometimes. The more expensive model has a folding handle.

I bought this as an occasional backup grinder after an extended power outtage without my electric grinder left me drinking instant coffee for two weeks. BUT, this Chestnut hand grinder has become my go-to everyday grinder instead. Highly recommend! 1. It feels well-made. Heavy metal and smooth handle action. Even the bottom cup screws into the main body nicely. 2. The grind is even, easily-adjustable, and my coffee flavor is noticeably improved over my electric grinder. 3. Grinding is quick and easy. A full pot of coffee for us is two grinds of beans in the Chestnut, and I can make it happen as quickly as filling my electric grinder and putting it through its cycle. 4. No worries about power. Now I'm a coffee prepper, and this grinder will definitely come with me for any camping trip or road trip. Packs up small.

This is a well made product, heavy duty and built to last. Most importantly, I was able to follow their directions and easily dial in the same grind that my quality plug-in grinder Baratza does and I can take this on the road in our RV! Very easy to use and clean, and only takes a minute or so. Highly recommended, though the price seems to jump around a lot so look for it on sale.

For over 20 years I have the daily routine of grinding my Colombia beans and brewing a thick cofee with my Bodum French press. I think I know what I am talking about when it comes to cofee and this grinder has made a huge difference in the taste. The consistency of the beans is amazing and the process of handgrinding is such a satisfying experience. The device itself is very well made, looks, works and feels just perfect. Absolute must have for coffee aficionados.
