Excellent for touch-ups to the lengths of my hair between color!
What you may not know is if you color your hair red, it's the most difficult color to maintain because it's the largest color molecule and the easiest to lose. If you spend any amount of time outdoors, you'll know your red can fade super fast just due to the sun. Hubby detests blondes and when my red fades it starts to look blonde! If you get the correct shade, this Glaze works beautifully! The Auburn shade is perfection - apply to dry hair for about 20-30 mins then wash and condition as usual and this stays looking great for many weeks! I like that it's easier on the hair than continued application of a permanent color. It can get expensive if you use it too often so I will often just paint it on the top-most layers of hair rather than saturate every stand on my scalp. It looks lovely that way, too!!

Amazing 🤩
Delivers as promised 👏🏻 I’ve been trying to fix my red hair that a stylist messed up (long story). In my first photo it’s super orange at the top to mids then a cherry red/purple on the mids to ends. This was already after 1 round of color remover. The stylist instead of removing all previous colors slapped a dark brown on top of a previous box dye 🥲needless to say it made a horrible mess and I’ve been slowly fixing it. I mixed Auburn Spice (2 tbsp) & Copper Crush (1 tbsp) to balance it all out as the bottom red/purple color wouldn’t leave lol. And the second photo is what I got 💕 so beautiful kinda reminds me of GOT Melisandre (the red witch). Anyways loved them BUT be very careful as they are SUPER PIGMENTED!!

Auburn = orange and no staying power
My natural hair color is golden light brown that looks a bit red in the right light. I wanted to put more natural red tones in my hair so it would be more of a red mahogany/rose brown. I got the auburn color. My hair was mostly virgin, just a couple rounds of very low lift demi permanent color a while ago. I shampooed my hair, did not condition, and let it dry completely. I put Vaseline on my face. Then I sectioned my hair and applied the glaze. I ended up mixing the glaze with a little water as I went because it is pretty thick. It took probably 20 minutes to apply and then I left it on 15 minutes or so, then rinsed with lukewarm water. (In hindsight, because this is such a subtle color I probably could have used thicker sections and gotten it on my hair faster). I think the dye caused some slight irritation on my neck. Luckily it didn't dye my skin or scalp too badly. I was kind of disappointed with the result. It just seemed very subtle and like the dye didn't take. Then I realized it did take, it just wasn't the color I wanted. I wanted a stronger neutral red tone. But my hair came out a slightly gingery orange, caramel brown. If there was red, it was extremely subtle with the dominant colors being brown and orange. I wish I'd tried the cherry color instead, but moreover I think my hair could probably handle a much redder dye and still come out a natural red-brown. Red is so hard to get to stick to hair, especially unprocessed hair like mine. The good news is on day 1 my hair was shiny and a darker, richer color. I couldn't stop touching my hair, it felt so nice and soft. Turns out I didn't have to live with orangey hair very long because after one shampoo, the color was almost gone. There is a very slight green tinge in my hair now, nothing too bad. If I had liked the color, then next time I would keep it on for an hour and use the blow dryer on it to help it stick to my hair. My hair is also not very shiny anymore so I guess the gloss effect wore off too. It definitely stained my counter and sink. I would say covering your counter and sink with something like plastic wrap so it doesn't get stained is absolutely necessary. When I finished I immediately scrubbed the stains with baking soda+dish soap and water and let it sit overnight and that got the stains mostly off. Do not use vinegar or anything acidic. It didn't stain my bathtub because I was careful to rinse it out of my hair under a full stream of water and not let it splatter.

If you want to do something with your hair that doesn't kill it...and makes it soft and shiny!
Love this, though in my hair it does not last very long. The conditioner is suppose to stay in for at least 7 washes.. mine it stays in about 3 but it's a great product. Beware though...I tried a brownish one thinking since my hair was brown with a few highlights that it go well...it turned my hair Bright joker green. It did wash out of course but it took about two weeks and a good clarifying shampoo. Hence the 4 stars. Best to test a strand...and it's just color depositing conditioner so it's not gonna kill your hair.

Like a tiny salon appointment in a bottle
I was hoping for shine and a little color refresh without committing my entire afternoon to a salon chair. This delivered. My hair looked glossier, richer, and way less blah afterward. Super easy to use and made me feel like I had my life together for approximately three days.

Great product - packaging could use work.
I got highlights and balayage mixed with my dark brown hair - it was bleached then a dark auburn was put over it. Fast forward 4 months later and 2 beach trips and my hair was totally faded and blonde. This glaze revived my hair and made it super soft and silky. The only downside was the top literally broke so I had to unscrew the cap and dump it out. It’s actually pretty thick. Once it broke it kind of made a mess. I did have to go buy gloves… I would NOT use this without gloves. I could see it staining your nails. There’s about half left and I’ll be using again when it fades. Curious to see how long it lasts.

No color stuck
I was so excited to use this because I wanted to do the cute Auburn Spice color. My hair is naturally brown with a tiny hue of red and so I was really excited to see it bring out more of my red. I applied it and waited and then rinsed. All of the color was gone, literally nothing stuck. I thought maybe I didnt wait long enough so I re applied once my hair was just damp and waited for 25min instead. Got in the shower still hopeful, came out with the same disappointment. No color stuck whatsoever, I wish I had bought from a different brand. My hair is super soft and shiny now though so this brand at least is a good gloss, I bet the clear gloss would be good! But if you want a true color gloss, go with another brand.

It did nothing. Maybe less than nothing.
It….did….nothing. I’m giving it two stars instead of one because at least it didn’t damage my hair. But it did absolutely nothing for it. I’m a natural redhead with very healthy low porosity wavy hair that goes roughly 5 -6 inches past my shoulders. In my forties, the richness of my dark strawberry blondeish auburn mix color has faded. I’ve used several brands of color masks and glosses previously to try to find the right shade to return it to its original shade. It took over one month for this to arrive which is annoying but I was excited to finally try it. The bottle design is as horrible as other reviews warn so I was prepared to dump it in a bowl after an extended time period getting it out of the stiff bottle. I used an entire bottle and was glad I bought several just in case that first bottle didn’t have enough. I sectioned my clean damp hair and saturated each area carefully then let it process for 25 minutes. Minimal staining to my sink that came off with bleach and very little staining on my skin since I wiped it off quickly when it strayed from my hair. It’s not a messy mask and came off of surfaces and skin as easily as other brands do. Rinsed with cold water. It did not leave my hair soft. It did not make it shiny. It added zero color. Zero. And my hair was more frizzy than it’s ever been. I wasted a full hour with this process after waiting a full month for it to arrive. I’m disappointed but at least it’s not damaged or dyed bright orange. I’m glad it worked for others and am surprised it didn’t for me since my hair grabs color well. But I definitely wasted my money.

Subtle difference
It's an OK product. The differences in hair colour and texture after use are very subtle (I have natural/ uncoloured brown hair). But it didn't cause hair damage, which is a plus.

Really great gloss product.
Product made my hair really shiny and vibrant. I have darker brown hair, so auburn spice didn't exactly pop, but I expected that. What it did, was give a warm reddish-brown tint, almost like a dark copper. I do have some highlights that are dyed over, and they have lightened, so now that hair is more auburn then the rest, giving a really nice, dimensional look. the product looked fine, smelled good, but I was expecting a bigger bottle for the price. I guess we'll have to see if it lives up to its 10 washes claim.

As expected!
Work well, definitely wear gloves when applying. Enough for multiple uses in the bottle.
