Is this a Matt finish and do I need to prep air interior stonework with any other product?

It is a 'dry' invisible finish, stone work needs to be clean and dry, thats all. Please note the sealer is highly effective and will leave the surface with a 'teflon' like finish. it cannot be decorated/painted or plastered over as nothing will adhere. Hope that helps. Can I use this product on the stone of my internal fireplace, my house is ancient and my unused fire hole seems to always feel damp?

I cannot access the exterior of the garage wall as it is too close to next doors garage. Can this be used on the internal face of that wall instead?

If it's just plain brick, yes, but can't see point of it, as it's purposes is to prevent water penertrating the brick surface. And it ain't going to rain inside the garage !.

Does this stop salt appearing on the bricks

You would need to remove existing salts, then apply. The sealer will then inhibit any further salts appearing. Hope that helps!

Bought this to help stop some rain coming through the brickwork of the chimney in my loft after repairing some mortar. Haven't had any heavy rain since I used it so I can't tell how well it works, but it sprayed on very easily, dried quickly and was odourless.
